For Gila County RV Park: This park was described in several tourist information web sites. The descriptions did not match reality. The lower park was poorly maintained and generally unkempt. Most sites were occupied by long term residents. The upper section was simply a parking lot. The upper sites were unconventionally staggered to squeeze RVs into tiny spaces. Sites were so steep and tilted we could not get our 32 ft motor home level. Electric, water, and sewer hookups were awkwardly placed and difficult to use. Water spigot leaked. Walking to town required crossing a 5 lane very busy highway with no pedestrian crossing. Park managers answered phones and were pleasant, but worked odd hours so paying for a reserved spot took persistence.

For Gila County RV Park: Won’t return. An all new facility but noise noise noise because it is positioned between highway and a cliff. Also sanitation issue with dump station- it has no containment and spillage runs across road to pet area.

For Gila County RV Park: Very primitive with no restrooms and active train tracks a few hundred feet away. Trains all night blaring their horns as they pass through grade crossings.

For Gila County RV Park: This is a small, quiet RV park right in the midst of the historical district of Globe. We really enjoyed being able to walk into town for dinner and a movie. While it is not as picturesque as a campground in the wilderness, it is very attractive and clean. The managers have dozens of bird and hummingbird feeders up and we enjoyed watching the birds.
There were no noise problems.

For Gila County RV Park: Don't be fooled - this is NOT a county park, but a private 'trailer park' with lots of road noise and barking from the permanent residents dogs.
