For KOA Lazydays Tucson Resort: Rules were *strictly* enforced, which was a plus for me but might not be for everyone. Trash and recycling picked up at site. Very clean and tidy. It is downtown, it is near a military airfield. There are a lot of noises of urbanness and military flying. Park wifi wasn’t any good at my site.

L Martin

For KOA Lazydays Tucson Resort: This campground has many pluses, but we won’t be going back. The first time we came through, we thought it was heaven, but apparently new owners have taken over. There are two pools, palm trees, citrus trees throughout the park and many pluses. We kept hearing from residents that they were surprised at the expense, but given the high turnover, we didn’t quite understand until we got our credit card statement with added fees. Despite the fact that the park was plagued with water outages while we were there, we were charged an electricity cost for a our 26 -ft motor home that exceeded the cost of our house in the northern US. Laundry prices on dryers dropped a bit while we were there, but the two small laundries are still more expensive than most campgrounds. There are separate charges for everything despite the healthy costs for a spot. Pluses: trash is picked up every few minutes; employees are helpful. There is a restaurant on the premises; there are two smallish pools, pickle ball courts, largish spaces. There are private dog parks in some spaces, stardecks with kiva fireplaces on some spots, and covered areas. There are bicycles and other equipment available for rent. Minuses: the park is located next to two busy highways, and RVS near those highways sound as if one is in the middle of sirens, gunshots from neighborhoods across the way; fireworks, police chases, and boom cars that love to hangout at the pull offs on the back wall of the park. Desk employees have no flexibility in changing your spot—it’s all done by computer, and they are rigid. The spot we were given with an advance reservation was not level, and no amount of supports could fix the problem. Many water outages. I’ll admit most were fixed fast, and the office texted on most of the outages, but not all. There is a very high turnover of RVs because of location and maybe people get disillusioned and move on. Be careful of kids on scooters and bikes until around 10 at night. We didn’t mind that so much because kids in RVs need outside time, but if one is over 55 and wants a lot of quiet, this place is not for you. The main thing is to know what unbundled charges you will encounter, and you may be surprised at the site you get. Some people seemed to be able to pair up their sites with friends, but we were not allowed any flexibility on getting another site that was more level.

Dwight

For KOA Lazydays Tucson Resort: I came in a day early and they were full and it was raining and the gal made me wait while she got a manager who cleared a slot that was scheduled for renovations so I didn’t have to drive off looking for a place. It poured rain most of the two days we were there but we still enjoyed our time. It was a bit noisy but less so than our previous two campgrounds.

Nathan

For KOA Lazydays Tucson Resort: This place is right between Tucson International Airport and Davis Monthan-Tucson Air Force Base. The runways are actually a mile away on each side. It might not say much to most people but when there are thousands of flights above you every day the air you breathe is the worst air on the planet. Also, the noise level at this park is off the charts. Other reviews mentioned police helicopters and gun shots. Yes, I heard and saw the helicopters and heard gun shots every night too. Other noises in this park are: the highway, the train, the drag racing at night on 3 sides of this park, the constant noise from the very busy mobile RV power washing and there are employees with Power washers constantly washing stuff. Oh, and construction. Yes, they are building more sites and a part of it is using a sledgehammer! So whether you are aware of your surroundings or not you are guaranteed to suffer at this place.

For KOA Lazydays Tucson Resort: They say resort. I say dirty parking lot in a bad part of town. Police Helicopter flying above you every night. Gun shots every night. Work campers rude and disrespectful. I can think of a better way to spend $60-$70 a night. We were in a group of several RV's and everyone is disappointed with this place. The pictures on their web site are very deceiving.

Full Time

For KOA Lazydays Tucson Resort: Terrific KOA. Very well appointed and the sites are very nice. We selected the standard pull through. Great table and chair set up and the hook ups were great. We will stay at this KOA again.

Map

For KOA Lazydays Tucson Resort: It has been quiet for us 3 thus far. One pool closed was disappointed because it was so close to us with the heat to walk to the other pool is far and very hot. There are nice shaded spots which helps with the extreme heat Tucson is having this week. A lot of airplane noise as it's by the airport. Pool water is not blue.
