For South Forty RV Ranch: Love this place. This independently owned RV park requires escort in and escort out. A lot of full-time campers here Maybe 50/50 split. We have talked to people that have stayed in other RV parks and this is the best one. The two old boys riding on the golf cart that escorted us in took us to our campsite and we had a hard time getting our little 25 foot travel trailer into the site. They have this concrete slab that the picnic table sits on that takes up way more room than it should. Our camper is 8 foot wide and barely made it in. Getting the slide out was a chore because to clear the concrete slab the slide now wants to run into the water Spicket.. I did some fancy maneuvering and finally made it in. Now our side is literally 5 feet from our neighbor. But in all fairness, when we called to reserve they told us our spot was tight! On the upside, the sites are level and gravel.. The camp host and attendance that met us at the gate were very friendly. We came in on a Sunday. The cacti, palm trees, shrubbery and other plants are very well kept up and look great! In fact the whole place is really clean and kept up. Road noise on the outside lanes is somewhat loud, so luckily we are in the middle and don’t hear anything. It is a nice and quit place. They offer full service including sewer which is a treat for us campers who mostly do state parks. The restrooms and showers are very clean and well kept. Controlling the water temp in a shower is worth it’s weight in gold! About $40 a night is worth it They utilize every square foot of space for storage. Stored RVs and campers seem to be everywhere but what I think looks cluttered is the fact that they surround the bathrooms/bathhouses with stored vehicles. I understand this is extra income but it makes it look really crowded. The swimming pool and hot tub are awesome. And open until 10pm. The have pool tables and organized games and activities. I really ended up loving this place and I’m bummed that we have to leave tomorrow!!! 🙁

For South Forty RV Ranch: We stayed here 2 nights the end of January 2016. I would not stay here again, pet areas reeked of urine and were much to small for the number of sites. General cleanliness was subpar. There are better choices in the area.

Rolling Honey

For South Forty RV Ranch: Not a bad place except for the train noise.
