For Rest Stop: Exceptionally well maintained facilities and grounds. Lots of mowed green grass and large shade trees, although almost no shady place to park out of the afternoon sun. The truck/rv area is an open gravel lot off a paved loop, with no defined individual parking spaces. The rv dump facility is on a short pull-through on the way out of the rest area. However, it’s very easy to drive through the dump site and then turn left and re-enter the rest area, without going all the way out of the rest area onto the highway. The dump site is the newer State of Washington style with all concrete construction and freeze-proof all-season rinse and potable freshwater supplies. Both water sources require pushing a button repeatedly to get 40-second bursts of water. The waste inlet is set below surrounding ground level in a fairly deep concrete depression. The potable freshwater supply is about 20 feet ahead of the waste inlet. This dump facility does not appear to be heavily used, at least at the time of my visit. There was a steady stream of automobiles using the rest rooms but no cars stayed overnight (that noticed). Besides myself only one other RV stayed overnight. The rest area is posted for 8-hour maximum stays as is typical for the Washington State rest areas.
