For Rest Stop: Have visited this rest area routinely for years, so very familiar with typical conditions, especially recently. Usually the private vehicle parking area is somewhat crowded with overnight vehicles. The commercial truck lot is also usually full or nearly so with overnight commercial rigs. The commercial drivers are sometimes very openly and verbally unfriendly to rv owners who pull in to the commercial lot and take a space. The RV Dump site can only be reached by entering and passing through the commercial lot. It is accessed from the commercial lot exit lane that merges onto the northbound highway. The single lane dump site is on a slight downhill slope, but a short rv can be maneuvered into a reasonably level position at the waste inlet. The inlet is set well below surrounding ground level in a concrete trough. Non-potable rinse water is available from a hose on a pedestal next to the waste inlet. Potable freshwater is available from a pipe outlet with standard hose threads, about 15 feet ahead of the waste inlet. A button next to the freshwater outlet needs to be pressed about every 30-40 seconds to keep the freshwater flowing. This dump site receives heavy use from Portland area full-time RV residents because it is very accessible and is free. Because of that the cleanliness of the site can vary extremely. I have driven through this site MANY times over the past few years and found it so disgustingly filthy that I continued north to the next highway exit, and returned to the other nearby rv dump site in the rest area on I-5 southbound. That nearby rest area is usually in more useable condition.
