For Mackenzie Beach Resort: For $59, forget it. The RV’s are jammed in there. The road is a mess. Very poor upkeep. Did not stay. Looked at the sight and left.

Dawna

For Mackenzie Beach Resort: Very tight RV spots on the backside of a busy dirt road. Expect your RV to be filthy inside and out. Beware they only have 15 amp hookups so if you need 30 or 50 you’re out of luck. Pluses are super friendly staff, new showers and close to the beach.

For Mackenzie Beach Resort: The road to this Campground is gravel. RV spots are the worst I've seen in this area. They are like a dirt parking lot and tight! Try to book at the provincial park of you can as thet can ccommodate all RV sizes.

For Mackenzie Beach Resort: Any campsite in Tofino is going to be hard to get during the summer months. The beaches and scenery are incredible! Be forewarned that bylaw officers patrol the streets for anyone sleeping overnight in a vehicle or RV and the fines are stiff ... $200 for first offence with a $40 discount if paid within 7 days. After receiving our early morning ticket, we called around and found this campground had a few spaces available on a first come first serve basis. Headed over and took one of the tightly spaced spots. Learned that the new owners took charge in spring 2017 and are considering what to do with the property long term. Huge plus is that this campground is right on MacKenzie Beach, one of the smaller Tofino-area beaches. Negatives, sadly, are many. Tightest sites of our whole trip across Canada, dirty unkempt grounds, run down bathrooms, showers only available if they remember to offer you a key ($20 deposit) when the office is open, no control over noisy or slobby campers, limited spaces for rv's (forget this place of you are a big rig ... you'll never fit), rough, pot-hole filled road into campground will shake everything loose. Given the lack of choice on Tofino, we would stay here again if we couldn't find anything else. Book way ahead somewhere else if you possibly can!
