For Pedder Bay RV Resort and Marina: Pedder Bay is a commercially run Park which is attached to a Marina.
The Park is well laid out, beautifully landscaped and very well maintained.
All roadways are paved.
The Sites, a combination of back-ins and pull-thrus, are all level with gravel surfaces.
All sites ae separated by well-manicured, thick cedar hedges. Each site has its own fire ring and table.
There are dedicated RV Park staff on-site every day from 8 AM to 5 PM and available by telephone after hours.
Park guests have access to the Marina and piers. It is interesting not only to look at the various boats in the Marina but also to watch the abundance of wildlife; seals, herons, ducks, a local swan, etc.
There are literally miles and miles of trails for hiking and biking, many of which can be reached on foot or by bike directly from the Park.
The picture taking opportunities are endless.
There is a small store plus a coffee/snack bar on-site.
At the Marina boats are available for rent and fishing charters can be arranged.
There was always sufficient staff and they were always pleasant to deal with and helpful.
The Park is 45 minutes from Victoria, about ½ hour from either Langford or Sooke and 5 – 10 minutes from Metchosin, which has a small store, coffee shop, etc.
The only real drawback noted was the shortage of sites with 50 amp service.
