Mary

For Soledad Canyon RV and Camping Resort: The natural surroundings are beautiful and the town of Acton is charming, on both sides of the freeway. The train crosses the driveway so they sound the horn every time and there are several commuter trains per day in addition to freight. I’m full time, but this was a next level of train noise with the horns and the early and late commuter trains. Verizon was in and out. I couldn’t get the internet because it requires PayPal which sent me a text verification that would t come through. I drove to town to call customer service and they never called back though they say they call back within 30 minutes, I asked for a to y disability accommodation and was told no and then when the issue came up no one would have noticed if I had done it the easy for me way. Thre was trash and broken glass in my site. Most of the park was closed for construction. In general I felt like my stay was cursed.

RV Voyage

For Soledad Canyon RV and Camping Resort: Mostly dusty, dirt sites with many old, dilapidated motorhomes. Verizon cell service is non existent. This park is old and tired and it shows. There is so much deferred maintenance everywhere you look. It’s a short 5 minute drive to the small, quaint town of Acton which has a nice grocery store with regular pricing, a McDonalds, Jack-in-the Box, three gas stations, one of them being a large Union 76 with a dedicated diesel fueling area. The people in Acton are very friendly and welcoming.

Mr. Trouble

For Soledad Canyon RV and Camping Resort: Sites are not level, mostly dirt in sites trees need to be trimmed or removed as many are not healthy. Camp sites are not cleaned after previous camper departs from site. Most TTN parks have a crew that check sites upon a camper departing. These are not 45 to 50 dollar rental sites.

Cloths lines are hung from tree to tree or camper against park rules. Park rules need to be more aggressively enforced by staff.

Perimeter sites in "B" section are not marked as to where one site ends and the other site begins. Makes it difficult to see how many tents are on one site or did the camper rent 2 sites.

Upon entering the park you must show current license, insurance and registration and sign states Calif. Vehicle Code enforced. People drive around with people standing on bumper, ride in back of trucks sit on the hood or fenders an accident ready to happen. Helmet law not enforced for children riding bicycles.

Nice to see culverts entering into "B-C" sections have finally been repaired. I have been told for the last 5 years this would happen each off season which never happened so you did it for the 4th of July. GREAT

Wyldestu

For Soledad Canyon RV and Camping Resort: Stayed in section "N" because it has the best reception. All day and into the night a loudspeaker blares. I was told it was a rehab center. Also sounds like a kennel on the other side. Constant barking from multiple dogs. Add to that all of the sites all along the edge with views were rented yearly. They were well maintained, but frankly that just made the sites available look sadder than they were. Hot water was turned off in multiple places (showers). No hot water at the adult lounge bathroom (unsanitary). Be careful walking at night as there are many ankle turning holes in the road-deep and I found a couple of boards with nails facing up in my path. Oh and the laundry was closed for "upgrades" but no work being done that I could see. This is not a place to stay if you're trying to enjoy yourself. A couple of overnights would be okay. There were plenty of full hookups.

Captain Rebel Dog

For Soledad Canyon RV and Camping Resort: Some things are under repair. Not sure if that will be good or bad in the end.
