For Cabelas: Good sized spots will fit a large class A no problem. Many 18 wheelers going through at night. They have a dump site with 5 dollar fee. Was a bit of a noisy night with the trucks but other than that I was undisturbed. Home Depot is about 100 feet away. I got a new rod and some tackle before hitting the road in the morning.

For Cabelas: Convenient and free. But sloped and truck noise due to a USPS facility located behind. Trucks going in and out most of the night.

For Cabelas: November 2019. Three RV sites on left side of store with dump station. Asked inside if overnight is permitted. Was told yes and offered the code for dump station. It was busy until nearby businesses closed. Then quieted down.

Ron Carter

For Cabelas: Trip from Indy to Washington, DC early last April. Due to early season, could not find a campground. No worries. Cabelas up ahead in Wheeling. Called the store. Told by a manager they no longer allowed overnight parking. My wife said, “We can’t find any place else. We were counting on you.” Manager replied, “Well, just tonight. Park to the east side of the lot by the restaurants.” We arrived at 7:30. Made a couple of purchases in the store. Ate dinner. Went to bed. Rap on the door of the coach at 1:30. Opened the door to two local sheriff deputies. They told us we had to move. Then wanted to know why we were parked there. Then wanted to know where we were headed. Then wanted to see ID. Then they said Cabelas management had sent their supervisor emails requesting that their department keep trucks and RV’s off their lot. (During this deal I had a hard time understanding why two deputies were working security for a private company. Must just be WVa.) Long story short, we had to move at 1:30 in the morning to another lot in the Center. Not a fun experience.
