For Anthony Chabot Regional Park: Nice campground, high above Lake Chabot, hiking trail down to lake. Nice sites with trees, spartan, open bathrooms - but clean. Rangers onsite daytime only. Would be great for mountain biking. Dog friendly Stayed 1/20/22 in 18' campervan

For Anthony Chabot Regional Park: Well kept park with plenty of space. Paved pads. Lots of Eucalyptus trees. Some hookups. No generators allowed. Pets allowed. Restrooms are just ok. Showers also just ok. Some grassy areas. Lake this time of year has algae in places. Trails nice but mostly in the sun. We found staff to be very helpful.

For Anthony Chabot Regional Park: Love camping here! It’s close to town but you get the feeling of being away without a big drive. You can hear BART trains going but it’s just part of the charm. Lots of wild turkeys and trails

For Anthony Chabot Regional Park: We love this park! We are surrounded by tall Eucalyptus Trees, and for now very few others are here. There are only about 10 sites with power at this park and we couldn't reserve one. Our campsite #43 gives us a few hours of sunlight a day, but not enough to recharge our 320 watt solar system. It's too beautiful to complain though, so we'll conserve power for the next five days and enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful setting! The road in (Redwood Rd) was about 7 miles of steep ups, downs and curves that forced us to use 2nd and 3rd gear much of the way. This is the only way in or out of the park.

For Anthony Chabot Regional Park: Beautiful park, lovely trails. However, the staff is not accommodating, reservation system is wacky, showers are dumpy and you have to press a button for water to flow every 30 seconds. Also the gates close at 10 and you can't get back in. So much for exploring the city at night!
