For Cathedral Palms RV Resort: The other review said this was an "older" park. I usually like those, and it was less expensive than others in Palm Springs, so I gave it a shot. This park is geared toward snowbirds that stay weeks or months at a time. Overnighters seem to be an annoyance. Snowbird season ends end of April, which I didn't know, but is important to my story. Based on my need for 30 amp and lack of a bathroom onboard, the desk person directed me to the back row of sites. This was a work day for me, so I got the camper, awning, and computer stuff all set up and ready to work. I went to the bathhouse--which is about 20 feet away--only to find that the door code didn't work. A sign on the door said it was closed for the season as of April 20--the day before. The only other bathroom was at the very front of the RV park. The desk person called the manager on my behalf. The manager refused to let me use the closed bathroom, though the water was on and there was no reason not to use it. He said I could relocate, but that was that. I didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up again. This meant I had to walk about 3 blocks to use the bathroom at the office. For $48. On top of that, the wifi didn't work where I was. On top of THAT, there's a lot next door that rents scissor lifts and construction equipment, so there is a near constant beep beep beep of vehicles backing up. And it's directly under the flight approach to Palm Springs airport. The pool looks nice, but other than that this place was awful.

For Cathedral Palms RV Resort: We read the negative reviews before we stayed here and were unsure about staying. It is an older park, but they are making the upgrades. The right side of the park has all new electric with 50 amps and new water lines. They have plans to do the rest this year. Sites are all back in but big compared to many and there are plants between the sites to give some privacy. It is nit a fancy place , but it was clean and friendly. We stayed a total of 4 weeks and enjoyed it. The manager and staff were great to work with and friendly. While we were there, they had $1.00 a slice pizza in Saturday nights and an informal get together for dinner out on Wednesdays. I would not hesitate going back when in the area.

We stayed Feb/Mar 2013 motor coach & trailer.
