For Cracker Barrel: Frankly, I was pretty shocked when I arrived here after reading all the “easy in, easy out” comments. This is NOT the case for a motorhome! Fortunately, I arrived separately from my husband, who had stopped for gas down the road … I pulled in with the toad about 5:30pm on a Friday. The driveway was pretty darn steep! I could see our 32’ class A clipping the back end both coming up and going down. The parking lot was also quite full (it seems to be shared with the hotel next door). That is the only entrance/exit. I immediately called it a “no go” for our motorhome and we had to figure out a plan B. If you have a Class A or B, you may want to cross this one off.

For Cracker Barrel: Easy in and out from I-81. Arrived around 5-6pm to only 2 of the 7 RV truck sites occupied. Areas along sides of lot available for parking after hrs, as well. Very nice/spacious back lot, lots of side green to walk your pup. Well lit, felt safe. Arrived to the awesome smells of dinner cooking and awoke to brekkie smells and the birds chirping in woods. Great stay, pleasant surroundings, wonderful meals, minimal highway noise. Highly recommend for overnight stay.

Luke

For Cracker Barrel: Easy in and out. Arrived around 9pm and checked with the manager. Noisy hotel next door. TT running all night. Staff was very friendly and food is always good. Gander RV just a few miles down the road in Roanoke might’ve been the better choice.

For Cracker Barrel: Arrived after hours and left before opening. Easy off and on the highway. Good sized pull-through spaces. Plenty of places to take your dogs for a walk. Only downside was 2-3 boondockers forgot their etiquette and left their generators running all night.

Christine

For Cracker Barrel: Great overnight stop. Easy on and off highway 81. Well lit back parking for 7+ RV’s. We did not call ahead but just told them we were staying the night when we ordered dinner. Some highway noise but that is to be expected. We recommend!

Betsy

For Cracker Barrel: Called ahead and spoke with store associate; confirmed overnight parking was allowed with no reservation or check-in required. Of the 7 available spaces, 3 were being used for storage containers. Parking area was well lit, but with some trash strewn around.
