For Village Camper Inn: The staff is friendly and helpful. Check-in was you outside, staff inside behind a plastic window. Most of the park is for permanent or monthly renters. TIGHT turns for big rigs starting with the turn into the park especially coming from the west. Then another squeeze to turn into the camping area and another squeeze at the top of the hill. Obviously, this park was built long before the arrival of 40+ foot RVs. There are lots of trees and lots of redwoods. Which are very pretty although the vehicles get peppered with tree debris. The interior roads are paved as are the premium sites (although you have to drive through gravel to get to it). All other sites are gravel. Most of the sites also looked pretty level. Sites are near each other. Our site (47) had a bit more space as the DS was by the road, and PS side had big redwood trees. The sites are narrow but we managed to wedge ourselves in there. Each site has a rather dirty picnic table, and you are up close and personal with your neighbor (luckily, we knew ours!). WII FI didn’t work the first 2 days. They reset it, and it worked for a day and stopped. Verizon was 4g 2/3 bars so our hot spots worked most of the time. Satellite would not work in most sites, and there is no cable. Trash was emptied regularly which was nice. Our section backed up to Parkway Drive so there was lots of traffic noise during the day. It quieted down pretty well at night. Crescent City appears to be a depressed town – just a feeling. Every business, it seemed, was looking for help. Most restaurants had limited hours (or were not open at all) and were take out only. We only saw a couple with indoor seating. There are homeless but we didn’t see many camps. Lots of really old campers and vans and other unique vehicles. Just seems sad. However, the town is surrounded by beauty. Jedediah State park (oh those redwoods), Smith River (what a gorgeous color), the Pacific ocean and Battery Point lighthouse. Anyway, back to the RV park. It’s just fine for touring around the area for a few days. We saw many trees had been “hugged” by RVs so drive carefully.

For Village Camper Inn: This campground was recommended by several folks we met during our travels. It’s a privately owned and well run campground. They cover over twenty acres and have divided the camp into loops. We were in a nice size back end site #207. Wide enough for slides and awnings and backed up under a giant cypress tree with plenty of room for our toad in front. No pool or spa... otherwise a 5 but very quiet, grassed in park. Very dog friendly with multiple poop bag stations allowing you to walk through out the area with little restriction. Big tent area, pull through area and even an area filled with seasonal trailers and park models. Pickle ball, horse shoes and huge area to play catch or frisbee. Showers and wash room look very clean but we never used them. Internet is weak like most parks. We were given some free time based on our length of stay. Cable is free, supports approximately 40 channels but does drop their satellite siginal a few times throughout windy conditions. I think maintenance need to check their unit and bolt it down better (my opinion). You are minutes away from the beach, redwoods and the town of Crescent City. Walmart is 5 minutes away as is Ace hardware or Big 5 sports for anything you might need. You are 20 minutes (or less) from the OR state line and several gorgeous overlooks and parks. Big age swing in the park over 4th of July weekend. Several families, young couples and older folks (us!). Everyone is friendly and being careful to stay within their family area.

For Village Camper Inn: We really liked this park! Great location for exploring. Clean, quiet and super friendly place. We were in our 37’ MH with a toad and had plenty of room in our paved pull through site. We had a concrete patio with picnic table and a fire ring. Loved being among the Redwoods.

For Village Camper Inn: One of the best overnights we have had while traveling through California. The state parks charge $35 for no hookup, crummy bathrooms, and no services. For only $5 more, we got full hookup, cable TV, laundromat, and nearby shopping. The bathrooms are clean, with private hot showers. Very quiet setting. Some spaces are a little cramped. We were in #32 which was very private. Site was level and we had 2 bars of Verizon LTE.

For Village Camper Inn: Very nice park with lots of trees and redwoods separating the sites. Each site has water, cable and electricity. The bathrooms are clean and contain hand soap and paper towels. The showers each have a separate private dressing area, which is a nice feature. This was the best private RV park we found that had hookups north of Patrick 's Point State Park on the coast south of here.
