For Desert Springs RV Park: Nice stop. Easy in and out. Very quiet place. Did not see or experience anything like that other post. Nice place for dogs. Pond with ducks. Some trees but I probably would not stay anywhere near Barstow in the summer. It’s the Mohave desert. Calico ghost town about 4 miles away. Stayed 2 nights. Could hear train in distance, it was about1.5 miles south of campground. Freeway 1 mile north. Wife liked it and she is picky. Nice little bar and grill out front. Very reasonable pricing. Had a craft beer and a blended margarita for $7

Marie

For Desert Springs RV Park: Arrived tired and hot, needed a place to plug in the AC, and was not aware there is a KOA right down the street, otherwise we would have left after we pulled into our site. Across from us was an RV with broken windows, blankets hanging out, and trash on the ground. On the other side of us a broken down mobile home. Then a domestic disturbance from mobile home with screaming and rock throwing, very scary. Left at first light, the KOA down the road is clean and normal, stay at the KOA!

For Desert Springs RV Park: I called them several times to make a reservation, and the phone just kept ringing. No one ever answered. And I sent an email to the email address on their website, and it kicked back. I wonder if they have closed down

For Desert Springs RV Park: Nice place to stop. Easy access from both I15 and I40. Gravel and sand but expected given location. Super nice people and very reasonable pricing. Looks like some long term residents but quiet and people seemed nice.
Only negative is that office hours don't start until 1:00 so hard to make a last minute reservation. Bar and grill on premises. Did not go but heard it's pretty good from locals.
