Shadow Cruising

For Casini Ranch Family Campground: We camped for 4 days at Casini Ranch in our 28’ TT. Site 98 had E/W and Cable TV hookups with good shade and decent privacy for a corner site. We payed $20 for the daily honey bucket service, which we later found out did not include Grey water service. Upon check-in, we found out that Casini charges $20 per person, per day for any group with more than 4 people. We felt that was sorta chintzy, since we are a family of five. The 100’s of campgrounds we have been to, all allow 6 people per site for the site fee. The on-site General Store has everything. We had forgotten the dog leash, bungee cords, inner tubes, and a bike helmet for the little one, the only thing they didn’t have was the helmet…but the Guerneville True Value hardware store did! Casini Ranch hosts plenty of family activities throughout the day. Movie night, Family Field Games, Arts and Crafts, Ice Cream Social, “Hey!” Rides, Feeding the Farm Animals, Bonfire, etc. It was like a KOA on steroids! There are some nominal fees for some activities, but nothing to whine over. The WiFi was excellent, like streaming excellent. AT&T cellular had full coverage. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casini Ranch. The access to the river was good and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We rented the 6 person Golf Cart for a day, but we found it not really necessary, since our family could just walk everywhere. The campground is large, but everything is centrally located and easily within biking or walking distance. Bring bikes! Everyone else does. Put some cool LED lights on the spokes for evening rides. Just be aware that the 10pm quiet time is strictly enforced. It is what makes Casini Ranch a family campground and not a rowdy, drunken, party-all-night campground. We appreciated that very much. I can see why families come back year after year. I would recommend Casini Ranch Family Campground to others.

Derry City

For Casini Ranch Family Campground: Really nice place and very big. Definitely worth it to book a premium spot or else you’ll be very close to each other Great dog park and a nice staff

Aliciakay05

For Casini Ranch Family Campground: Great family friendly place. Lots of space for kids to roam around. Right in the Russian river. Stayed during spring break, none of the kids activities or rentals were available. Must be offered during summer only. Lots of friendly staff. Lots of restrooms, laundry room, dog park. Prices are a little steep, we saved 50% with passport America. Definitely check out the interactive map to pick the best camp spot for you. Some are secluded and others are not.

B linas

For Casini Ranch Family Campground: This campground is overpriced. $85 for hook ups. Coin operated showers, Bathroom sinks are motion detection with NO hot water side. I can’t believe people put up with this.

Angela

For Casini Ranch Family Campground: This is a great campground - close to the Pacific Coast, and nestled in the Russian River Valley. Sonoma wine country nearby (Korbel is just down the road). Redwood forests (some on the property). There is a seal colony at the coast.

The park offers a store, kids activities, farm animals, hayrides, lots of water activities (1 mile of riverfront), and organized activities.

Updates are taking place - like new ADA bathrooms (very nice), rental RVs, and electrical upgrades.

The big charm of this park is the historical aspect. In the Casini family for over 100 years, with a historical barn still on site, it has a an old west, great family friendly feel.

Bottom line - there are lots of ways to stay entertained here.
