For Snowflower RV Resort: Cute park, very wooded. Sites are first come/first serve. Our travel trailer is 30ft with two slides and we had site 43 which was nice because we could see the small lake. Active bear area, so be sure to put up your trash and lock your vehicles. Only water and electric hookups- but they do have a dump station at the front of the park. Trucker is the closest town for groceries and is about 30 min away. Staff was nice. Store is only open like three days with very weird hours and their upper dump station that’s close to the campsites was down which was annoying- taking the honey wagon to the front of the campsite was nearly a 10 minute drive. Overall, peaceful park and secluded. To clarify....about first come/first serve is I still recommend a reservation, you just can’t reserve a specific site. And Truckee * is the closet town.

For Snowflower RV Resort: Spent Labor Day weekend here, for our maiden voyage in our new trailer. Considering the park was full for the weekend, it certainly didn’t feel that way! We stayed in “The Cliffs” area, which is fully paved and packed right with RV’s. We chose that lot because there was a pull-through, and it seemed like it would be the easiest spot for our first time. While that lot isn’t ideal, everyone was really friendly - so we didn’t mind in the end. We drove around to check out all of the other areas, and the park is beautiful. There are LOTS of pull through spots in the wooded areas, and close to the lake. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can drive up the hill to the more secluded areas. The lake was beautiful, and not crowded. No motorized boats are allowed, but swimming, canoeing/kayaking, and floating are. The lodge seemed like a fun spot for kids. They also have lots of games - several cornhole boards, shuffle board, tetherball, etc. The pool looked nice, too. The bathrooms/showers were very clean. WiFi is only at the lodge. AT&T only has service at the lake, and up the hill. Supposedly Verizon works everywhere. All in all, we really liked it and will be back!

For Snowflower RV Resort: Last time we stayed (summer '13) they had major power problems and our power monitor kept shutting down various items due to low power. Very frustrating! The dump stations were overloaded. We were going to stay again this Sept. and when I tried to make reservations it said they had closed down on 9/11/17 due to water problems. The lodge smelled moldy when I opened the door so I couldn't go in. The buildings have not been kept up...at least they weren't the last time we were there but the pool looked good at that time. When we first stayed there in the early 90's it was really nice, but it has not been maintained well. The little lake is very pretty so that is a positive!
