For Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging: About an hour outside of Yosemite, Decent park, no cell service (we have Verizon, ATT and T-Mobile)WiFi was pay and not very good. Red dirt, hilly and rocky sites. No one warns you that to road (120)to get up there is a 8 mile (white knuckle) very curvy steep hill if you are pulling a trailer! We have a 37ft 5th wheel and took it very slow but made it up and down.

For Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging: Very even spots for mountain camping. The staff was great and combined our two reservations. Nice sized pool and playground for kids. A bit difficult if you have dogs due to lack of grass and the amount of dirt during the dry season but they have a dog wash station near the deli to wash your dogs for free! Only complaint is their site says free WiFi, but there is a small charge now to provide their service (since internet access is provided via satellite and bandwidth limiting). You can pay for 1 day, 3 days or a week. A week was only $7 for internet access.

For Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging: Site 14 slopes so bad that we had to go partially into #15 just to get it level after raising it 6”. You can’t sit outside because of the slope. Worst neighbors ever. Partied all night and brought a PA system for karaoke. Dang until midnight. Premium site didn’t have cable, no free WiFi so I bought a three day pass, wouldn’t work in site 14, and can’t tether the TV to it either. If we come back here, we’ll stay in a different part of the park.

For Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging: One and done. Will NEVER stay in Yosemite Pines again. By far the worst RV site we ever got. The site had huge rock and red dirt. It was so narrow when exited the trailer it immediately sloped down hill (very dangerous). The sewage connection was above grade with mounts of dirt surrounding it. We asked if we could get another camp site and were told the other empty site were locked out and we couldn’t move. We were there for 6 nights and there were several sites that were empty the entire time of our stay. With so many RV parks in the area we will stay elsewhere.

For Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging: We picked this park due to its proximity to Yosemite. We travel in a 40ft 5th wheel. Upon arrival we were given a spot that was 38ft. Even if we were able to use every inch of the spot we would have been in the “road” by 2ft. We used a tape measure to confirm the spot’s size. Additionally, the spot was a back in that wasn’t angled and to back in it was up hill and the gravel road was not maintained. There were many low hanging branches both in the spots and roads. Some of which had to be removed in order for us to not damage our rig. We are 13.5 ft high but we were traveling with an 11ft high Class C that also had to remove some branches to get in their spot. After much frustration we gave up on this site and returned to the office that was closed. There is 0 cell service any where near the park, at least for AT&T users. Based on the lack of cell service all throughout the area I’m guessing other carriers weren’t great either but I cannot confirm this. So we used the pay phone to call the after hours number that went straight to voicemail. We gave up and walked the campground until we found an open spot that was big enough for our rig. We found a pull thru and parked there for the night. The following morning we went to the office to explain the situation and while they didn’t apologize they did “move some things around” to allow us to stay in that spot. They didn’t give us grief about switching spots so I’m guessing it happens frequently. The site was level and all the utilities were good. The grounds are not big rig friendly but that’s mainly due to a lack of maintenance. The roads are tight but big rigs would be fine if they kept the roads maintained and the tree branches cut back but they do not. The grounds are very hilly and as I said before all the roads are dirt/gravel. We have a 4WD F350 but we’re still slipping at times. After seeing the campground there are some sites that would be easy to get in and out of but our impression was that the staff didn’t really care too much about which site they would put you in. If we went back we would stay closer to the park. The WiFi was $3 a day or $5 for 3 days. It was decent speed and a must because of the lack of cell service. We didn’t use their restrooms or laundry facilities so we can’t comment on that.

For Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging: Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00

Tough one to rate. Compared to places we usually stay...3 stars. Compared to what is available in the area and nearby Yosemite N.P....this one warrants a higher rating and is one of the best options. We stayed at Yosemite Pines after leaving S Lake Tahoe on our way to Yosemite National Park. The area was in a drought for 5 years until this April, so most everything around there is pretty parched...so I'm guessing the condition of this RV Park (and others) has suffered. Certainly not lush like the photos on their brochure and website. We were lucky to get a spot on short notice for our 25' motorhome with toad and were grateful we did not have to unhook. We were escorted to our spot. Our site was mostly red dirt, with dried up grass around the edges. Very un-level...like 7". The difficult thing to deal with was all the stickers (not the sharp kind) that attached themselves to our dogs feet and legs...tons of them. No shade in our spot. There were plenty of campers of all types and sizes. Lots of families. There is a petting zoo with a couple of donkeys, a llama, rabbit and goats. Fun for the kids. This seems to be a great campground for kids...pool, petting zoo, playground area, with bocce ball, Horseshoes, tetherball, etc. The camp store is well appointed and there is separate Deli, which makes sandwiches and other offerings to take with or eat in. There is a nice, large, raised dog wash. If you tent camp, prefer Yurts, want a cabin, have a group, this spot is worth considering. It's plenty big and there seemed to be a number of groups. The brochure said there is propane and a dump station. We didn't use the Tengo WiFi and we didn't have cable at our spot...actually, don't think it was working since they scratched it out on our paperwork. I would say, for proximity to Yosemite and offerings, this one is worth a shot. Not the best, but felt safe and staff plenty friendly...it is just dusty and dry (drought) and older. We were there on July 5 and managed to get a spot by calling that same day. It was crowded, so might be good idea to reserve during peak season. We camped at Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging in a 25' Motorhome w/ toad (42' overall).

For Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging: Great place. First time we actually had a RV park to honor the two nights free for tents for troops. Very steep roads to get there in an RV. I was so glad I had a husband that will drive the RV all the time because I was super nervous the whole drive to the campgrounds.

Bonus: they have a shuttle bus stop right there to bring you to Yosemite so you don't have to drive in the park! Cash only but so worth it. Parking at the national park is very insane.
