For Silverwood Lake State Rec Area: The lake is nice and trails unexpectedly pleasant. The campground on the other hand- I felt we were at a club in TJ. Understood people want to have a good time and disrespectful people will take advantage of any scenario, the staff did nothing to inforce their rules. Highly disappointed with the Campground. Rules need to be inforced, because there will always be idiots that take advantage of campgrounds that aren’t.

For Silverwood Lake State Rec Area: We live only 19 miles away but in all our years, had never camped here until the 1st of February this year. Because February is off season and we went on a Thursday, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. During the winter months there are only two sections of the campground open. The campsites were, in most cases, clean. Some sites had newer concrete tables, others were wooden. Each site had a fire ring with a grate and also a standing BBQ. We had water, electric and sewer hookups. The restrooms and showers were clean, but no soap or towels/dryers in restrooms. I think $50 a night is a bit expensive though when you don't even get a view of the lake. We would stay there again.

For Silverwood Lake State Rec Area: We went on a holiday and were soon sorry we went. The campground was out of control and full of disrespectful and entitled campers. The hook up sites are extremely close and we were surrounded by a family of idiots. The rangers were helpful getting us moved and commented "nice people like you don't come here ". I would stay away on weekends when it is a party zone. We were extremely disappointed.
