For Pio Pico RV Resort and Campground: This review is for the north side of the park. This was our first time visiting this RV park. We decided to give it a try per the recommendation of a family friend. First, the site “guarantees” that you will have water and electricity but the sewer is on a first come first gets basis. That being said, several sites on the northside had either electricity or water but not both. So many of the utility boxes were broken or on posts that were falling apart. The site we ended up with we were unable to use the water faucet as it continued to leak no matter what I did to try and fix the problem. The area was overgrown with weeds, dog poop, trash, and broken tables. Several of the utility boxes were also falling off their posts. The site was overbooked, crowded, and dirty. If you want to use any of the amenities offered at this park you either have to walk a far distance or drive to the other side to utilize the pools, youth center, or other outdoor activities. The staff were super friendly but not necessarily very helpful for this newbie. Cell service is extremely limited and from what I understand only works with AT&T, I have Verizon. If you want to use Wi-Fi that too is limited and costs a minimum of $3.95 a day. We were scheduled to stay for two nights and three days but ended up leaving after the first night as we just were not having any fun.

For Pio Pico RV Resort and Campground: I am a TT Elite Connection member. That being stated, I am used to things looking a little run down and things not working. We were surprised to get a FHU site, we were surprised to get ATT cell service, we were surprised to have strong wifi $ervice at our site, we were surprised to find a semi-level pull through site, and we were surprised how nice the showers were. Our site #C37 south side.

For Pio Pico RV Resort and Campground: We are big fans of Southern California and love to stay at Pio Pico. Thousand Trails can be a hit or miss. This one can be a bit behind on the maintenance and it looks like it was an amazing top notch park in it's prime, but the staff has been very helpful and kind and we have made some great friends while staying here. The pools are fun to swim at. The adult pool is in better condition than the family pool but like I said both are fun. We had a lot of rain come through and we were trapped in the park for a few days. We just enjoyed spending time with friends, and the time in the park. If you want to get a feel for the park and see some of the flooding you can see it here https://youtu.be/iuAHLMkBqTU
