For Agua Caliente County Park: We stayed for a week at Agua Caliente County Park in the fall of 2021. This was our first visit to this campground. We arrived on a Tuesday, and it was very pleasant for a few days: relaxing and quiet most of the time, seeing all the stars in the dark night sky was magnificent, and the therapeutic pool was wonderful to soak in! We even had a big horn sheep walk right through the campground! Why only 1 star, you might ask? Friday night this peaceful park transformed into a raucous, drunken PARTY! Music was blaring at top volume from numerous campsites (like they were all competing); “conversations” were LOUD: they had to shout over their own music; the stars in the night sky were no longer visible due to all of the weekend partiers having their rigs adorned with enough Christmas lights to be seen from outer space. Apparently, all of the “park rules” get thrown out on the weekends: children were playing in the “adults only” therapeutic pool, noise at all hours, trash being left all over, dogs barking for hours on end, etc, etc. And the rangers who had been quite present during the week did NOTHING to stop this. Rowdy partiers were never asked / told to turn down their music, and other noise; children in the “adults only” pool were never told to leave. Why have signs with the rules posted all over the park if they aren’t going to be enforced? Will we ever return to this campground? Maybe, but we definitely won’t be staying on a weekend ever again.

For Agua Caliente County Park: A must stay in the Anza Borrego Desert. You can have your cake and eat it too here, hot springs, pools, beautiful views, beautiful hikes. Amazing staff, I've been here 20+ times and will never get tired of Agua Caliente. It basically has the amenities of a resort along with the isolation. Multiple campsites with shade, cabins with your own bathroom and porch, and electric sites too. I wish I could live here.
