For Riverland RV Resort: Agree with most others reviews here. Smokehouse restaurant is the only reason we come back. Lots of full timers, but not old retirees, more like working joes. Both times we have arrived here there were neighbors parking their extra vehicles in our assigned spot, really annoying after a long drive. We just need a nice overnight spot and there are better in Kingsburg.

For Riverland RV Resort: Pros: affordable at $42 per night for full hook up. We took advantage of electricity as the smoke and ash from area fires prevented us from being outside. It looks like this was a great park in its day and has a lot of potential. It appears to serve longer term RV needs. It is close to both a major freeway and train tracks for freight. The staff was very friendly and laid back with reservation.

For Riverland RV Resort: I was skeptical coming here because of all the previous reviews. I don’t understand! We had a partial hook up site near the river and enjoyed a splendid sunset. The nearby bar and grill serves excellent food! The price was right for such a beautiful spot. We did sleep with the air conditioning on as it is July. The freeway noise could be disruptive otherwise. Next time I’m going to get a full hook up site by the river. The friendly staff came by in the morning and emptied our tanks for free!

Two for the Road

For Riverland RV Resort: Stayed Feb 2020 for a week. This is not the resort the title claims, but this park is very hard to rate, due to the pluses and minus's. First of all the Smokehouse Bar and Grill on site is fantastic. Rated this an extra star just becasue of the restaurant. Try the Loaded fries and brisket. You wont be disappointed. We called in and told them we would be arriving after closing, and the guy (jordan) said he would leave us a packet with a space number and instructions. He forgot, so we used the normal after hours instructions, chose a site (the only one left in the park that we saw), and were told the following day (after setting up and unpacking) we would have to move two sites down on Thursday. Big old PITA! First the minus's: The bathrooms/showers are in poor shape. When there is not even a door on the bathroom, something has gone wrong. The doors on the stalls are only about 4 1/2 foot tall, There was no hot water in the shower, and there were cobwebs all over. When I looked up in the shower stall, there was a huge spider. The hot tub is only luke warm, and the knob for the jets is broken and rusted shut. The road noise from CA-99 is pretty bad. Spaces are pretty tight, with a lot of long termers with "junk piles" next to their "Homes" No dog park Staff is incompetent now the plus's: Its a beautiful park, with a large grassy area and a fishing pond on site. Places to walk around. The Smokehouse restaurant already mentioned! Staff were friendly, Overall, we would stay again simply because of the Restaurant, but not for a whole week, and certainly we would request to be further from the road if possible.

For Riverland RV Resort: Staff knew we had a 30ft fiver so why were we directed to Lake & River sites of which 4 were not suitable including 1 that had half our rig sitting 10ft onto a road, one already occupied & staff didn't know (long termer). Finally directed to a pull through, site 12 which fitted our rig. We were told we would be refunded the difference in cost. Why in the hell was there a fight to get the $30. Office lady was not going to give it as she thought she would lose her job along with the lad who told us where to go. Apparently he was to take us to our site & also tell us we required an extension cord both he didn't do. Both office staff we dealt with totally hopeless. We were there for 4 more days & suggested she have her boss contact us so we could inform him why we got a refund & why the lady gave us cash without and documentation. OK we booked here mainly so we could leave the fiver & just do a drive down the coast but the 5 nights we stayed we had no or limited WiFi & the van shool when a train went past (track on other side of highway). Will not stay again or recommend it to anyone.

For Riverland RV Resort: Stayed in for a week waiting for our mail to catch up with us in March 2019. We found the park pretty good, not a “resort” like it says in its name but nice. There are a lot of permanent residents and yes like the other reviews it needs some “tlc” but we would stay here again. We parked by the river, it was quiet and peaceful. We loved the fact that there was a bar and grill on the property and enjoyed karaoke one night and dinner & dancing another....it was a lot of fun and we didn’t need a designated driver!! Not sure I’d wanta be here in the summer as it was pretty hot (80’s) in March. The town of Kingsburg is great little town with a nice coffee shop and a great Mexican bakery. If you want a bigger town Visalia is only a 15 minute drive. Had a great visit and would recommend for a short visit.

For Riverland RV Resort: Stayed overnight. Very poorly run park. Lots of semi permanent rigs. A bar on the property that had loud bikers leaving at 2am. Very pricey for run down park. Definitely won't stay there again.
