For Samuel P Taylor State Park: Nice enough. The setting is very nice, facilitates old, but clean & maintained. Smaller rigs do better. Dogs limited to paved trail. It was markedly dark, damp and cold on the November day we stayed.

For Samuel P Taylor State Park: One of the nicest, most private sites in the Bay Area. Nestled in the Redwoods, each site seems private because of hilly location. Most parking is slightly separate from the tent/picnic area park of the site. Old but clean bathrooms with hot water and token showers. Hiking trails, including dog friendly Cross Marin Trail, creek trails. 15 minutes from shops and restaurants at Point Reyes Station. Good food and beer at Cafe Reyes. stayed March 23/24 2021

For Samuel P Taylor State Park: Huge redwoods greet you in a lush green setting at every site. Only 50 sites so crowding not an issue. 1/2 the sites are tent only. RV’s/Trailers up to 25 ft can fit, albeit snuggly, in remaining sites. Bigger rigs will do better down the road at Olema CG. The facilities are older, but this IS relaxed and peaceful camping. SP Taylor is the best location for reaching multiple points of interest: SF-60 min; hiking at Point Reyes - 30 min; kayaking in Tomales Bay - 45 min.

Britgal

For Samuel P Taylor State Park: I think this place is probably nicer in summer. Kind of dark and damp in winter. Very tight and not recommended for bigger units. Sprinter van was fine. Bathrooms very dated. NO DUMP. I feel sorry for these parks as a lot of the funding has been cut. California seems to be not funding the roads or the state parks very well..i am sure the parks do what they can with the money they are given. However they are still asking full price for campsites that are not well served ie: bathrooms and a dump

FaniB

For Samuel P Taylor State Park: This is an okay park if you are in a tent. Do not recommend for any RV or trailer longer than 16 feet, and if you do have a trailer or RV, the sites are just pullovers along the main road. We were there during a rainy spell, so very dark, dreary, and damp, with no way to recharge our solar. I will avoid this park from now on.

Mark

For Samuel P Taylor State Park: Spacious terrain in deep forrest near a creak. Lots of wildlife. Dated installations. No dump.
