For Lone Pine Campground: Good place to stop overnight. Rustic. Sites close together, but no one was there in Nov. No electricity, it much cell service.

Coach Bob

For Lone Pine Campground: Good unplugged campground. Beautiful night sky. No dump station. We fit with a 25ft camper. Enjoyed a two night stay. Good hiking further up the mtn. If you’re thinking of taking a camper up to Whitney Portal CG - BE AWARE. You’ll be told your camper will fit but it won’t. It’s 99% a tent CG. And the road is extremely steep.

Dave

For Lone Pine Campground: Nice, a little rustic but close to the mtns. Little cell service. One bar. Most sites are not over 30 feet. $20, 10 with geezer pass.

There is lots of free camping up movie road nearby tho.

Skip42

For Lone Pine Campground: Flat level sites, bear locker for storage, good little camp. The trail from camp is pretty nice.
