Hood Canal Sunseeker

For Lost Hills KOA: Perfect little oasis right off the highway. Paved roadways with level gravel campsites. Very little highway noise , just occasional loud cars along main road. Hubby enjoyed the pool, which was cold but refreshing after a long day’s travel. Gas/diesel and fast food all within walking distance. I enjoyed the sounds of all the birds in the park’s smallish trees. Clean and quiet.

Shadow Cruising

For Lost Hills KOA: We’ve stayed at Lost Hills KOA multiple times on trips down I-5 from the Bay Area to San Diego. It is just at the halfway point. We stayed in pull-thru site A6 with our 28’ TT. It looks like all sites are pull-Thru and FHU with 20/30/50 amps. The site was level, the grounds were clean. The interior roadways were newly paved, the WiFi was decent enough to stream on my iPhone, AppleTV, and it was far enough from I-5 that there was no freeway noise. The pool looked nice, but it’s not heated. Did not use the bathrooms or showers either. The K9 park was fine, but there are foxtails along the fence line, so be careful. There is a pool table in the office, they sell ice and beverages also. The office closes at 6pm. We played horseshoes at their hot show pit and the kids enjoyed the play area next to the pool. They sell propane on-site. Plenty of fuel and food options in the area. I would recommend this KOA if your traveling down I-5 and need a place to stay.

Canuck

For Lost Hills KOA: Recently rebranded as a KOA. Campground is still upgrading to meet KOA standards. Large gravel and sandy sites, mostly level. A bit muddy when wet. WIFI only works within about 100’ of the office. No cable but lots of over air stations. Some road and truck noise from adjacent busy truck stop. Great little taco truck down the street. Good for an overnight stop.

Frenchie

For Lost Hills KOA: RV Park is next to a very busy truck stop. The entire grounds are covered in a fine, dusty sand. If you need a place to shelter for the night this will do but it is overpriced. We could not get the wifi to work. No cable but air tv was good. Big rigs can get in and out pretty easy.

We did not use the showers so I cannot comment on their cleanliness or age. Pool was closed. Staff is very friendly.
