For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Spot 31. Easy access when no one is in spot 28 and 23, straight in pull. The sewer is (again) uphill. The spot is located between two roads so it is wide open. 30amp power is all they have but it’s Monterey. Do not need A/C unless you keep your windows closed. For $60 in Monterey it is what it is.

Brian

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Monterey is beautiful. However this campground is an after thought. The worst part was the civilian lady manager. I booked a spot about 2 months in advance for a 40 ft MH towing. Checkin time was around 1300. I arrived around noon. I waited in the golf shop for about 30 minutes while the manager was gabbing away in her office with two other women. After they left I kindly knocked on her door and asked her about checking into my reservation. She boldly and rudely said “well aren’t you here early?” I was sort of speechless and said I was driving from SoCal and I’m sorry I might be a bit early. She hesitantly assigned me a spot and I indicated I have a big rig 40 foot and towing. She said they are pretty packed but I should be able to fit in this spot. I went to the spot and unhooked my vehicle and started backing it in. It was extremely tight and I even clipped the light post trying to turn and back it in. The space was not even close to level and I spent a while trying to level the rig and even had to go purchase more blocks to level it. The front of the MH front tires were completely off the ground was how I level this space was. The doorway steps was about 3 feet from the ground and I had to put a bucket to step on to get in and out. This was also our anniversary trip. The manager was driving around in a golf cart the next day and I flagged her down and showed her how I had to set up the rig and kindly asked to move to a more level spot. At least half the campground was empty. She said they are too booked up to move me. We were there for 7 days and the campground continued to be only half full. She is a liar and the worst manager and public relations person they could have hired. I’m retired military with 30 years of service and this is the thanks I get from this insolent human being? She should be removed from any contact with customers. She is the worst.

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Spot #29. Second time at Monterey Pines and we still really enjoy the location. Even though spot #29 requires some extraordinary talent at backing into if an RV is in the spot across, and you are going to use all the boards left behind by other campers to attempt to level your rig. And the sewer is uphill. Other then that we love this place. Wi-Fi is good, close to town and activities. Good laundry facilities and awesome host!

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Great for last minute local stays or military visitors from out of the area. Good sized lots and little traffic in the area. Near the military golf course. Nets between the course and the rv park but some stray balls make it through.

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Great price for Monterey. However it needs renovation bad. Many unlevel lots. Their answer is to give you 2x4’s to put under tires. Some very small lots. Full timers also? Odd in a military campground. Bathroom nice laundry ok.

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Office staff very pleasant and informative about the area. Sites are small but adequate. Did not use showers or restrooms. Next to airport so planes are loud during the day, but quiet at night. Close to everything. Do not use the GPS directions from Allstays app... they take you to the fairgrounds RV park, not Monterey Pines. We will stay here again.
