We stayed here for the night on the way home from the Bend Oregon area. The grounds and camp areas were clean with a nice size dog area. It was nice to have water after being in an area that shut shut the water off because of the season. The three stars is because of two things. First was the confusion caused at check in from scheduling our stay on line the same day and not having the our information when we arrived after hours. The other issue is access to the park and splitting two large trees, while theirs plenty of room with the correct angle it would be nice to have a reflector for them at night.

We do not usually do KOAs but we met friends here and decided to try. We were assigned a spot right in the front, by the office, playground and pool. I asked if there was anything else available and they gave us a nice spot in the rear. The sites are nicely spaced so you are not looking at your neighbor and your awing can come out. I used the pool and laundry. Both were fine.

We stayed in one of their “Deluxe Cabins” for over $160 per night. Clean and cute but there were no dishes, bowls or utensils! Moreover they did not have plastic utensils or bowls for sale in the store. Nor was there a can opener. Was I supposed to eat baked beans off the counter with my fingers? Come on Shasta KOA provide the basics, please!

We stayed here for a night back in April. Practically nobody here. Scenery was quite beautiful and the park was practically empty. It was during the height of the COVID virus. We loved the place.
However, here it is June 17 and we get a whole different picture. Park absolutely packed and staff not that friendly. If you are a young family there’s a lot to do, but if you are past that age it’s not particularly attractive. That is, if you like the feeling of camping in a city.

Great place to stay in Mt. Shasta, close to everything. I concur with previous post-only one shower was working in the women’s room and the shower floor was filthy. We paid $53.00 and might stay up the road at Weed next time.

This is an older “resort”; very little grass and a !lot! of dusty dirt. WiFi is spotty; where I parked my RV there was no signal, but, 10 feet in front was a strong signal. The resort is backed up to the trains; but, thankfully, they didn’t run all that often at night. The dog run is just powdery dirt.

As of July 2019, worst KOA bathrooms I’ve seen. More than 100 sites, and just 1 urinal. Three showers, and one of them broken. Women’s bathroom was the same sort of experience. One bathroom for the whole big place — is that even legal?

Nice campground, kid friendly, WIFI not so great in some area, but oh well. Spots 1-4 are shaded by huge pine trees. Very peaceful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Working on improving WIFI!

We stayed in a small site that was wooded and private. If you’re looking for more of a camping feel this is a great park.
