For Camp San Luis Obispo RV: After reading reviews for Vandenberg FamCamp we decided to take a go at Camp San Luis Obispo, we were not disappointed!! Bill is the full time Camp Host and he does a great job, he is constantly mowing and cleaning the sites to tip top shape. This is a 12 site FHU small camp ground located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. There is tent camping available for $10/night. FHU is $31/night. This is a great quiet place to stay, I wish more FamCamps were like this.

For Camp San Luis Obispo RV: Nice, very small rv park. Lots of space between sites. Didn’t utilize the bathrooms/showers. Laundry is nearby, cheap coin operated machines, very clean. Small px store near laundry. Morro bay is a short drive away & lots to see & do. We’d definitely be back.

For Camp San Luis Obispo RV: My wife and I stopped here to visit a friend of mine and we were going to stay at Vandenberg AFB FAM CAMP.... but, Camp SLO was closer..... so we came here instead.... OMG .... if peaceful and quiet is what your looking for..... then Camp SLO is the place for you!!!
The staff here (especially Erica) is and are wonderful and polite. SLOs down town is 15 minutes away and Morro Bay is 10 minutes away...... Great location. As for food ..... we highly recommend firestone grill. Large portions and great food. We stayed in the RV Park... you have to run the water before you shower to allow the tankless system to heat up. For Camp San Luis Obispo RV: Stayed in a two room suite in billeting over the new year. We found it clean, well furnished, quiet, reasonable, and centrally located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. Our only negative is that you had to run the water several minutes before it got hot, and the toilet kept running. Both issues were reported to billeting. Didn't like seeing all that water go down the drain. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

For Camp San Luis Obispo RV: Comments by other reviewers remain accurate as of June 2017. Four stars for location and bath/shower cleanliness, other aspects of the park are adequate and functional. This is a large Army National Guard post with old infrastructure, and it shows. A short drive from the park there is a small but well stocked PX open four days a week, a self serve laundry, barbershop and dining hall ($7 breakfast, $8 dinner as of June 2017).

Collette

For Camp San Luis Obispo RV: My four star rating is for the campgrounds central location because six miles to the west you have the town of Morro Bay and it's lovely beaches with breathtaking views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean! Then, six miles to the east is the beautiful town of San Luis Obispo. The base itself is clean as is the camping area. All sites are pull-thru with full hook-ups and large fire pits for campfires. However the campground is badly in need of shade for the campsites and shrubbery along the fenced areas surrounding the campground to hide or disguise some of the older buildings and the side street. A bit more beautification of the campground would make this a really great place to camp. But if you're not concerned with the scenery at your campsite, then this place is still a great place to camp because of its central location between the two beautiful towns of Morro Bay & San Luis Obispo.
