Dave Brown

For Ocean Mesa RV Resort: This property had everything we needed. Nice sites, a combination of concrete & asphalt. Level pads, great hookups, nice size, separated by bushes, trees everywhere. Place was quiet at night. Very nice pool & spa. Clean showers & bathrooms. Small, well stocked store. Trails to the beach. Nice people working in the office/store. My wife & I will be coming back here again.

Azucena

For Ocean Mesa RV Resort: They charge $125 a night and it’s has clean bathrooms but watch out for ticks it’s pretty infested everywhere. I wish they charged me $115 it was not what was posted and they wouldn’t give me a receipt for four days after I left. Weak excuse that their system was new. Not so new that it took payment.

Travbugs

For Ocean Mesa RV Resort: The campground is expensive (we paid $115/night for a “premier” space (#882), but everything in the Santa Barbara area is pricey. Didn’t see any view spaces but ours was very private with high hedges, trees and plenty of room for our small travel trailer and truck, a picnic table, and firepit. The nearby pool area is beautiful and clean. We felt Ocean Mesa is one of the nicest places we’ve been to, but we thought the back-in sites are nicer than the pull-through a, and you do have to ignore the sound of the nearby freeway.

Dave

For Ocean Mesa RV Resort: This place is very expensive for what they offer. Most of the sites are narrow and have little shade. Your RV will sit on a nice, level concrete pad, but most of the rest of the site is dirt and somewhat uneven. No sites have any ocean views. We chose this place touts itself as “pet friendly.” But the dog run is tiny, all dirt, with no pet water. No pets are allowed in the pool area. They advertise an unfenced dog play area, but we were advised at check-in “it’s really just a field loaded with ticks and rattlesnakes.” Dogs are not allowed on the only path to the beach, and no dogs are allowed on the beach, on leash or not.

R there?

For Ocean Mesa RV Resort: All that the prior reviewer said is on the mark except the price on my stay was $125!

Happy camper

For Ocean Mesa RV Resort: It was touted as having a "panoramic" ocean view...and close to the ocean ....well that's just not true. To reach the beach you have to go out of the park, past their camping resort , under the freeway all to get to the entrance for the state beach and entry is another $9. So their offering of "bikes" seems a little unnecessary. The sites are some what "terraced" so you certainly want to be up higher to get the any view and get away from the road noise. The spaces are tight (we are 45 feet) and oddly the only area with concert is where your rig and car will sit. So your fire pit and picnic table are all on dirt. Which you drag in and out of your coach. Totally messy!! The tree's are further developed than the staff represents and we had to have some limbs cut off to open our slides. Watch out for low placed rocks around the sites so you don't take off your undercarriage! Nice little store and the pool looked clean. Laundry on site was pricey but available. Family and pet friendly. But $95 a night. That's a joke! This should have been no more than $50 a night! We won't be going back but will say they are the only game in town in that area. So your forced to pay for it!
