For Paradise Campground: Back in Oct of 2014, while we were escaping the heat in Los Padres Nat's Forest, California, our stay there was quite interesting. When we got there, the camp host, who looked like he belonged on Duck Dynasty, follows us around in his little golf cart, until we park. Gets our info, and my husband asks where the nearest store is so we can get some adult beverages. He tells us, and also proceeds to tell us, "but please do not get drunk." Mr. Duck notices my husband is smokin' a cigar. Can he please do it in the motorhome or a confined space? Huh? We ask about BBQ'ing. Nope. Fire ban, yet when we called the did not tell us about any fire ban. No biggie. We're in the forest. We get it. Then my husband notices there isn't any threading on the spigot for water. Can we fill the tank with water? Nope. California drought. No one told us to bring in our own water. BUT!! We were more than welcomed to fill up a bucket FROM THE SPIGOT and pour it in the tank. Okay then. We go to sleep. Ahhhhhh... Nice and quiet. Nope. Get woken up around 2'ish a.m. by some college kids, camped right next to us. They had their choice of 13 other spots. But no. They sing. They smoke the ganja. We move to another spot across the campground. More shade. Nice. Then... the next day is fine. That night, our little dog starts barking. Why is he barking at 1am? Because there is some dude walking around the campground. What the what? Next thing we know. lights. BRIGHT LIGHTS. Into the motorhome from across the campground, at our previous spot. Car alarm goes off. Goes off again and again. Long night. Morning comes. These people had NO TENT, NO RV, NO TRAILER. It looked like a raft, that 4 people were sleeping on! Right out in the open under the pines and oak trees of the forest! Must have been a nice cool night for them! Ummm.. What? What is this? What are we seeing? Holy smokes. A naked woman. With another woman. Getting frisky, while some guy watched. Wait a minute??? What's this... Another guy too! A guy and a chick, laying down, while this naked chick, is 'loving' on them. Hmmmm... After they do their thang, naked chick gets up, walks around a bit, and gets dressed. They leave. Then a woman pulls up to the campground, gets out of her car, goes behind a tree, gets back in her car, and as she is speeding off, Mr. Duck is chasing her down with his golf cart. Then!!! This man, about 85-90 yrs old, pulls up in his old truck. He has a 5 gal water jug. What is he doing? I don't know. Let's watch. He is filling up the water jug, from one of the spigots at the campground! Hmmmm.. never seen that before! :-) So.... Apparently, you can't smoke outside, can't BBQ, can't fill your water tank up, and can't get drunk.. BUT!! You can get stoned, have a threesome, do some shady stuff by a tree, and steal water from the campground. Go figure!!!

Dongoose

For Paradise Campground: We get to Paradiseabout once a year and always enjoy our stay. Some cool hiking by going through a tunnel under the road and exploring. It’s nothing fancy, but we wouldn’t be camping if we wanted fancy. My only complaint is other campers running their generators for extended periods, but that’s not the campground’s fault.

Scoop

For Paradise Campground: This one could use some care and repair. Roads have some deep dips in them.
