For KOA Journey Visalia Sequoia: May 2019. Had a peaceful stop over. Large level lots; clean toilets, showers and laundry; friendly efficient staff.

For KOA Journey Visalia Sequoia: Park is in the middle of a housing development. Nice people at checkin but park is tired. Gravel sites with some small grass areas but really just a large gravel parking lot. No trees that we saw and buildings run down. If you are tired and need a place to park overnight then it works but I wouldn't stay longer.

Leif

For KOA Journey Visalia Sequoia: we were promised a lower rate than we actually received. the name of the RV park is misleading, it is neither in Visalia nor near Sequoia Natn'l Park. today the water was unexpectedly turned off with no communication from the office staff. the rates are more expensive than surrounding RV parks. they advertise long term availability but no spaces are available with no openings in the near future. Do yourself a favor and just stay here for one night on your way to somewhere better.

Pismolocal

For KOA Journey Visalia Sequoia: This campground is nice and decent, there are a few shade trees around certain campsites... However many without. They do allow full timers to live here, but they regulate The sites to make sure they are maintained. The downside to this campground, is the location. It is in a very low income, ghetto (Mexican farmer) type neighborhood. You have to drive through A not so pleasant looking area to get to this campground. However when we were there, it is an oasis in the desert. The grass around the site was green, The bathrooms were well-maintained and its easy to forget what is around you until you leave the park. Some sites are bordered against a back fence... On the other side of that fence is farm fields.

You are not actually in the city of by Visalia but about 10 to 15 minutes away. You are in the farm town of Goshen.

My advice, if you stay at this park... Do not walk around the town. Stay in the park unless you are driving somewhere else.

If you are taking a trip to the sequoias, it is a decent spot for a base camp. Easy drive to get there. And you are safe in the park.

Overall, honestly...its not bad...just not that great either.
