For SacWest RV Park & Campground: I expected a little nicer for the money. Right off the freeway so be prepared for road noise. Awesome bathrooms /showers. Very easy check in and out. Gravel so so near level spots.

For SacWest RV Park & Campground: This former KOA has been getting more expensive and more run down for quite awhile. It is conveniently located near freeway access and our relatives in West Sacramento but paying $72 for a short gravel pad in a crowded park with working, but old, hook-ups is getting to be hard to justify. There are typical KOA type amenities but if you are just looking to park for the night it isn’t worth it anymore.

For SacWest RV Park & Campground: We loved this place! We’ve been full time on the road for 8 months now, this has been one of the top places for our kids and the dog. Arcade, pool, playground, petting zoo, oh and trash service. Just leave your bags out and someone will be by in minutes to pick it up. Big grassy field for the dog, they even had a giant inflatable water slide for the kids this weekend. I noticed the owners were smiling while they were out working. A welcomed change considering some of the places we’ve stayed at. Easy access to the freeway, Walmart nearby, Starbucks across the street. Community fire pit for s’mores on the weekend. Definitely will be back!

For SacWest RV Park & Campground: I stayed one night here on an overnight business trip. I picked it because it was close to the WAG hotel where my dog was going to daycare while I worked. It was clean and quiet. Sites were what you expect. Facilities are older but well kept. I plan to stay here again.

For SacWest RV Park & Campground: We have stayed here many times. This was a KOA. I agree with others it is a little rundown and many are full time older rigs not in the best shape. But it is close to our family and convenient. Seems a little overpriced for the condition but we have found staff to be friendly. Sites are gravel and hookups are not in the best shape but serviceable. Good pool and reasonably quiet with easy access. We will stay again because of its proximity to family.

For SacWest RV Park & Campground: It’s okay. Older and run down. Fun for kids with the farm animals and playground. Not the best place to hang out outside and lounge around. Good place to stop for a night or two. Spots cramped and full timers with run down gear. Before careful of dogs since they don’t enforce the on leash rule. Quiet along the river.

Steph

For SacWest RV Park & Campground: We really wanted to like this campground, but just can't. It is the perfect stopping point for us, but will keep looking. If all your looking for is a place to stop for the night, then this might be all it is good for. Overall just seems run down and dirty. With a little money, it could be much better. The staff were not overly friendly. The best part of the whole park is the warm salt water pool. The playground was not too bad either. They have a large dog park but noticed people do not regularly pickup after their pets. The one bag dispenser was empty and there were absolutely no community trash bins to discard the poop so that may be why (bring your own bags like we do). The laundry room was nice and clean. $1.50 to wash and $.25 x 10 minutes to dry. Good game room with lots of arcade games.
The bathrooms by mid-afternoon were a mess. The bathroom/shower in the middle of the park smelled of urine and was a sloppy mess. The bathrooms/shower toward the pool were a little better.
The sites are extremely small and cramped. This is definitely not a campground to go to if you want to lounge around outside. Very dirty, very limited landscaping and overall run down. I did notice small children running around unattended. A 2 and 4 year old boy and girl came out of the women's restroom at 930pm with no adult in site and then ran across the campground. This may be why the bathroom smelled of urine.
When we checked in we registered the truck and 5th wheel and upon waking in the morning had a note on our truck to come register it. Hello, McFly! Then even before check out someone came and knocked on our door to tell us the checkout time.
In summary just dirty, rundown, and not very friendly. Suggest to only use as an overnight stay and move along quickly.
