For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Worst night ever in 10 years of RVing! Dirt and large gravel stones/. But it was the invasion of pincher bugs that made it terrible. I didn’t sleep because They kept crawling on me (my face, my ears). I left the light on so that I could capture and kill them to thin the numbers. We didn’t stick around to ask other campers about their experiences! Nice lady on duty when we arrived. Was surprised at the $60.00 rate but not a lot of options and it was a KOA after all. We haven’t spent very many nights in a Walmart parking lot but that would have been preferable.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Have stayed her several times in the past and enjoyed it. This time we were literally a couple feet from a old beat up wire fence so no space whatsoever. (Space 46). $50 for just elect and water and a crummy site. Very disappointed as we are KOA members.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Good overnight as it is right off I 15. Easy in and out. Clean well maintained. We had pull thru and our 45 ft MH fit fine. Fenced dog park very clean. No WiFi except around office. Did not use facilities. Would have given 5 stars if WiFi available.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Campground is ok. Showers and Restrooms are dirty. Late Arrivals without reservations have to pay additional fee, but have NO access to shower or restrooms. Staff is very unfriendly and incompetent. BE AWARE - discount may not be provided even if you are a KOA member. The staff cannot handle the payment system. They may charge you twice and explain you that everything is alright ... they are upset if you try to figure out, what they have done wrong.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: We stayed here for 1 night in March. This is not a “destination spotâ€; rather, it is a place for a one-night stopover while traveling to other destinations. It is right next to a very noisy freeway, however if you request a site at the back of the property you will be fine. The RV park is all gravel, but there are some large shade trees in the back that help in the late afternoon. The sites are narrow, but we were able to open all of our five RV slides, although that took the entire space and we had to sit outside at the end of our site by our truck. This place fills up completely at night with other travelers also on their way to other destinations, and we were glad we had made reservations. The woman in the office was courteous and professional when we checked in. Yes it costs a lot of money to stay in this gravel parking lot, but remember it’s California, not Arizona - everything in California is overpriced.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Stopped here around 3pm for one night without reservations. Gentleman stated no full hook ups were available but he had water/electric/no cable site if we wanted it. We took it and were charged $48! That included a military discount. 😳 I can’t imagine what full hookup would’ve cost. The whole campground is gravel with Australian pines. Park was old but in fair condition. Sites were extremely close together but level. The park sits right off the interstate so there is road noise. Staff could have been friendlier. Sort of snippy, like we were bothering him. Would not return. I expect a lot more for this price!

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: We arrived at 7:00pm, leaving. At 5:30am. The showers locked at at 8:00pm to 8:00am. No parking for tent sites. Worst. kOA I’ve stayed. We should have boon docked some where else. I stayed for open showers. Nope.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Stopped for one night on our way from Central Valley to Las Vegasso we could visit Calico ghost town about 4 miles up the road. It’s just about what you would expect in the desert except there were plenty of shade trees which were a nice surprise. We had considered staying at the Calico Rv park and I’m glad we didn’t. That would have been like parking in the middle of a desert. This place was very clean and my only complaints are no dog poop bags and the WiFi was there but wouldn’t let you log on. There was also a lot of road noise at night from the highway but you have to expect that from the location. Overall a good place to stop for an overnighter.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Very expensive for what you get which is nothing. Park was clean. They state on web site WiFi yet at check in when I ask about it women at desk augured that I stated I did not want it which was not true. The shower was one that you had to pay for and was timed. Not happy but ok to stay for one night since right off free way

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: I accepted this as an expensive place to stay and while it was clean and folks were friendly, they have pay extra to take a shower. I find this annoying. I wasn't informed when arriving nor given a coin for the first shower, which is the practice of other places using coin operated showers. Not staying here again. ? ?? ?? ?
