For Upper Pines - Yosemite National Park: Upper Pines campground is a large and lively National Park campground right in the heart of busy Yosemite Valley. Location is fantastic for every hike in the valley, from the falls, to Half Dome, to Mirror Lake or to El Capitan to watch the climbers. Shuttle stop at the campground entrance, or bring bicycles, or hike! The sites are among pine trees with views of the granite canyon walls which tower hundreds of feet above the campground. Sunset light off the granite is amazing. Lots of families tent camping, younger folks with climbing/hiking gear, and international visitors in rental Class Cs. Highly social atmosphere. Dry camping with not a lot of sun for solar, so come prepared. Minimal generator hours and 60db National Park sound rule enforced, fantastic! Campground infrastructure is a bit dated and heavily used, but otherwise fine. Highly recommended.

For Upper Pines - Yosemite National Park: Where do I start. . I’m not happy about my stay there. They have generator hrs from 7am-9pm,12-2 and 5-7pm. So that was a big bummer . The park ranger was on our ass. We left the generator 10 min after the time and he would nick... like Jesus Christ!. . We had a hard time getting our battery to charge since we only had two hrs to charge it . . It got so cold and we could use anything in the rv since we had no battery left so I decided to connect my truck and get some heat. Lol he nocked the next day asking why we turned on the truck . . I get it it’s a national park but Jesus Christ we were not the only ones staying there . . Btw we ran out of gas fml and the only place the sells it in the entire Yosemite is this place called “garage” but go before 5 pm or you’ll be out of luck just like we were ... . . Anyways, last time staying there .

For Upper Pines - Yosemite National Park: Don't go for the love of camping. You stay here just to be in Yosemite. We were lucky and got a site by the seasonal stream/brook. If your not lucky it would be like camping in Kabul. Truly looked like a refugee camp.
