For Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon: Great site! Great showers. Mostly locals camping for the weekend. If it looks far out remember you are 5 minutes from the Gilpin/Blackhawk Casino megastrip. Not my idea of fun but its got starbucks and all sorts of other food and entertainment options if you need them.

For Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon: Stayed here 3 nights then went dry camping for 2 nights in a national park. When we returned to dump 2 nights of black/grey tank this campground wanted to charge $25 plus tax to use their dump station. We took our waste with us and are unlikely to return as we felt that was opportunistic.

For Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon: Had a nice stay, friendly staff. Well stocked store. Clean bathrooms and shower though water could be hotter.

For Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon: I like this campground! Great staff. Nice wooded sites. Not big parking lot like some RV campgrounds can be. Very scenic and well stocked convenient store. Had great pull through site. There 5 days and would use again.

For Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon: I've been in the campground several times. I like it much more now that the new owners took it over about a year ago. they have really turned it around. The staff is always friendly to me and the place is much cleaner.
Free WIFI too, which I like and you cant get at the other campgrounds in the area.
