Happy Camper

For Golden Eagle Ranch Campground and RV Park: Can’t believe they can justify the cost for this place. It Combe a really nice park, but it isn’t. Roads are terrible, zero Wi-Fi, no cable, no grass only weeds. We opted for a deluxe site which means you get your own 50 amp service rather than sharing with your neighbor, and the site is fairly level(dirt with some gravel). It is quiet and you are away from any road noise, although there was a lot of helicopter traffic presumably from the army base nearby. Did not use bath or laundry Would find something else were we to return to the area

Patti

For Golden Eagle Ranch Campground and RV Park: We really enjoyed this campground. We stayed 4 nights in a deluxe pull-thru. I had read the reviews and yes, it does have dirt and gravel, but we found it very easy to maneuver our 35 ft Class A motor home through the park. The people in the front office were very nice. We were able to buy firewood at a reasonable price and they even brought it to our site. We grilled out, had a fire in the fire pit and sat out in our lawn chairs and star gazed. Beautiful views of the mountains. Nice walking trail around the lake.

Josh

For Golden Eagle Ranch Campground and RV Park: Stayed here for four nights. Overall not bad, friendly people. I called to reserve a guaranteed 50a, full hookup spot, otherwise you have to share. WiFi is free but slow, barely any phone signal in the area. Mostly dirt and gravel sites. Mostly quiet people around. Don’t waste your money on the fishing pond permit. Dog area is an open area on the hill. The park has a several hiking trails connected to it. Sites are not as close together as other parks in the area. I’d like to try the state park next time, but I’d come back here if I had too. We didn’t use the bathhouse.

Jennifer

For Golden Eagle Ranch Campground and RV Park: We didn’t even stay! When I made our reservations I told them specifically our size and slide outs. They put us in a tiny spot on a hill. There was no way we would have been able to unhook. There were some flat empty spots but they refused to put us in one of them. The park itself is gross and overpriced. The “playground” is a faded little tykes structure and some tires in the ground. The sites are dirt with overgrown grass. I can’t imagine what the bathrooms look like. Can’t believe they can charge what they charge. Look at the state park nearby looks so much better.

Michael

For Golden Eagle Ranch Campground and RV Park: We made reservation and had a lot of difficulty getting confirmation from them. We didn’t need full hook-up so we opted for just the power/water site, what a mistake. The sites are jammed together and even though there are trees and bushes, you may have more room in a Walmart parking lot. The electric was 15amp and was a standard household plug you shared with the site behind you. This makes it impossible for two campers to connect using adapters. Fortunately the renters in that space only used a regular cord. Laundry room was closed and the WiFi nearly non existent. Dirt roads are in terrible condition and the sites are un-level. This place needs a good overhaul. For the high cost of this place I expected more and I will not be returning. I am only giving the two stars for the friendly staff otherwise it would be lower.

Ted K

For Golden Eagle Ranch Campground and RV Park: We enjoyed our visit here. Area L is all pull thru and level. Good for our 34’ Tiffin Breeze and more. Only downside is electric service is shared with one 50amp and two 30amp outlets. We would return.

Rick

For Golden Eagle Ranch Campground and RV Park: Sites and most roads are dirt. (They were scraping to maintain smooth both days we were there.) Seemed pleasant; nice view east across plains. (Was cold and raining and we seriously under-used facilities, so can't comment more.) Pleasant office staff. A bit pricey for us (see "under-used"), but maybe reasonable for "resort" users. Hookups are for pairs of sites; we had to run water and electric from right side. Gravel/dirt site; didn't get too nasty in heavy rain (no puddles or mud). A climb from Colorado Springs, so likely nice in the heat of summer. (We were warned that bears were starting to come down to the area.)
