For Highway Springs Campground: Super quiet cause I was the only one here out of 16 sites.
A couple of pretty view river campsites, but they were uneven
So I camped in number 11, which still had a nice view.
Pit toilets so I didn’t use it, but it was clean.
Very steep eroded drive down to campsites, so don’t come if it’s raining because it will be difficult to get back up… slippery.
There’s a free spot along the river just a couple miles south across the little bridge that’s better for a rainy day. $11 on a Monday night with Senior pass $12 on a weekend.

For Highway Springs Campground: Great forest service campground, 16 sites, 6 higher, closer to the road, 10 down above the river. New hosts this year keep the toilets spotless and not only stock TP and hand sanitizer but also air freshener! They said the only time the campground filled this year was over the 4th. Only forest service campground in the area with cell phone reception. Only downside is that there is no tap water. But river, water, fishing and swimming holes are a steep descent away.

Elaine
For Highway Springs Campground: Well maintained campground with 16 sites. We had a pull-up site right near river and a great view of the mountains across the river. Very quiet in late August (2019). I wish I had my rod! We brought in a 27’ airstream with no problems.
