For Alpen Rose RV Park: Last fall I needed extensive surgery in Durango, CO with several months to heal. We decided to take our 38’ fiver to spend all winter there. We contacted and moved into Alpen Rose at the end of November. Lindsay was really pleasant on the phone and helped us choose a great site. We cannot tell you how this staff has treated us. CJ and Lindsay, Chris and Kenzie, Curt and also Harry have been wonderful to us. It’s been a hard, cold mountain winter with temps down to -11°. This group jumped in to help my wife after I was laid up with Surgery in December. They were happy to remove and fill the propane tanks for us and keep track of maintenance we needed. Chris even told my wife to get off the roof and he shoveled it off after a heavy snow. We’ve had great experiences in RV Parks, but never this level of care and attention. We are here another month or so then will be going home. We’ll miss these friends. My wife wants to make reservations for next fall to stay a few weeks on a real vacation.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Very clean park. Staff was organized, friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights . Would stay again! Although we no longer have dogs it was pet friendly. They have a service to walk your dog and a self wash dog station.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Nice shady park with friendly and accommodating staff; showers were clean with plenty of hot water. The site layout was a disappointment, you share hook ups with your neighbor so privacy is a problem. Also the hook up location in our space made us use two hoses for water, an extension for the 30A service and we had to pull into the drive to dump because the hose didn’t reach from where we had to park. Would surely stay here again but would pick a spot carefully.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Great park. Very dog friendly. Staff was fabulous. Never have this much shade in a park. We leased the pavilion for one night and staff followed through on promises to have ready for us by 5 pm. (Cleaned, set up tables, set up grill etc). If you are in this area, highly recommend.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: This was our second time to stay here, and we were a little disappointed by the customer service this time. The golf cart guy was very pushy and rude. We were trying to set up and he wanted me to go to the office and check the credit card (everything was fine, they had an old credit card from last year, but the new one was fine). Upon leaving the golf cart guy, said we were supposed to leave at 11. I told him that my husband talked to them 2 days ago about a late checkout and I called yesterday and the lady was supposed to make a note that we were checking out late. He just kept saying well you need to wait until I get approval from the office. It wasn’t like I could go anywhere, my husband had a meeting in town, so no truck to move the 5th wheel. His attitude was not warm in the beginning and definitely rude and uncomfortable in the end. I may have to look elsewhere next time we are in Durango and we come every year.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: Wonderful campground. Perfect location for so many adventures. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning (and they also have dinners). Clean bathrooms and nice dog park. We stayed in the premium area which is bigger and nicer than the back, tree shaded area. We will return.

For Alpen Rose RV Park: I am quite shocked by the four star reviews. Goodness. This is the nicest RV Park we have ever stayed in. I am not sure what it doesn’t have??? The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The sites are large AND have room for an extra car if you brought one. There is a two acre dog park! There is a dog wash station! There is a trout pond you can fish in! There is a stage where they put on live music, a wonderful restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner, trees everywhere, the narrow gauge train nearby, a swimming pool, playground, volleyball court, and a gift shop with local made goods. Aaaaand more… a dog walking service, laundry facilities, outdoor decks for relaxing, and awesome showers. Seriously people. This is an amazing place. I don’t get anyone giving it anything other than 5 stars.
