For Junction Creek Campground: 15 minutes from town. Road goes through a residential area and then is unpaved for 3 miles or so. It was pretty bumpy, but we didn’t have any issues towing our trailer. Sites are nice and separated.

For Junction Creek Campground: Really nice campground! A little off the beaten path. ( have to drive thru a little bit of a residential neighborhood). Very clean quiet. Stayed with a 30' motorhome with a jeep behind and access was no problem. Deer right at campsite sever times. The hosts were great and a lot of information. I stayed in loop E and site 1, elec. site. I will go back.

For Junction Creek Campground: Not a site review, but a comment on access: tried to visit, but sign immediately after turn onto 25th street in Durango said "Trucks over 7000 lbs empty weight, prohibited". In my 14,000-pound motorhome, I decided not to take any chances and turned around and headed to Mesa Verde NP. Maybe someone can clarify access prohibition.

Scamper camper

For Junction Creek Campground: Very nice, but somewhat out of way. Had room for 40' motorhome. Had 50 amp, community water w/o hook up , no dump or sewer very private. Would stay again. Priced right. Dump station at Durango visitor center.

For Junction Creek Campground: Great campground within a short drive to Durango. There is one loop with electric hook ups, but no water. The restrooms are pit, but are very clean and feel quite new. Spent two nights and enjoyed being up in the tall pines and away from the city and hot temps of the valley. This campground is about two miles up a dirt road and sits right next to the Colorado trail. There are some great tent campsites and all the sites are spaced far enough apart for excellent privacy. The kids loved the place and mom and dad did too. Will definitely return. Great staging point for a ride on the steam train!
