For United Campground of Durango: Stayed at this park for two days and did not have an enjoyable stay. Rigs are packed very close together and sites are small, so detached towed vehicles end up blocking the road. We had to ask someone to move their pick-up so we could get by en route to our site. But the clincher was when I was trying to wash my windshield with a bucket of soapy water and a triggered rinse gun. In all fairness, they did say that washing vehicles wasn’t allowed. However, I thought that this didn’t apply to the windshield, which was covered in bugs. A guy came rushing over yelling me to stop. I explained that I wasn’t washing the vehicle, just the windshield. He wouldn’t accept that, stating “Water is as valuable as gold in Colorado” despite the raging Animas River not more than 1-2 miles away. Out of fear that he’d kick me out, I was forced to drive with a soap covered windshield all the way to Flagstaff AZ. When I asked the manager at the Flagstaff location if I could wash the window after being informed that I couldn’t wash the entire vehicle, she said “Sure, why not? It’s a safety issue, isn’t it?” Bottom line. Tight spaces and a bad experience with management caused my low rating.

For United Campground of Durango: This is a really nice RV park. Spots nicely spaced, really clean restrooms and showers. The laundry area was nice and clean. You can catch the trolly right in front for a $1.00. Would use this park for sure if we are in the area again.

For United Campground of Durango: Really nice park. Gravel sites with some sloping toward the river. Sites share utilities so your neighbor can be very close. Lovely views of valley, river, mountains and the train goes right through the park. Grounds are nicely kept. Did not use restrooms or laundry. We would definitely stay here again.

For United Campground of Durango: This park is located in a picturesque area 4 miles from Durango. The staff were very helpful, full hookups, gravel campsites and all the amenities were very clean and well kept. In addition to showers, laundry, swimming pool and small store the Durango Silverton Narrow Gage RR goes through the park. It was wonderful experiencing the steam locomotives passing by. Currently there are only three trains scheduled each day. The campground is very quite and peaceful. We definitely plan on returning to this campground.

For United Campground of Durango: Ok park but they pack you in fairly tight. If you can get a site on the right side as you look down on park. Gravel sites. Sites share hook up location. Durango Trolley come right by park every 20 minutes (get app Durango transit) $1 or 50 cents if over 60. Gets you into old Durango area in 10-15 minutes. Friendly staff. Showers, bathrooms, laundry, small store. Nice views from park. Durango Steam train runs right thru park. Would stay again.

For United Campground of Durango: Great location north of town with a trolley stop to town running every 20 minutes. Owners were great, bathrooms & showers clean. As advertised the Durango Silverton train runs right through the camp ground. Area is very pretty with the Animas River a stones throw away and a pasture with mountains in the background. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
