For Spruce Lake RV Park: We have stayed here several times over the years. We will not return. This park is in need of maintenance. The park is beginning to look run down. It had become a dusty dirt lot with little grass. The WiFi was totally unusable. The cable TV was a joke. The sites are VERY tight. For $80 a night I expect a better quality park. The laundry room was nice and clean. We arrived 15 minutes before 1:00 check in time. Our site was ready and available. They wanted to charge us $25 for an early arrival. That poor service soured our taste from the beginning.

For Spruce Lake RV Park: Nice 4 night visit... Spruce lake is all about location... easy access to National Park... and downtown Estes Park.... sites are mostly dirt and grass and not much privacy as your back into a shared spot.Scott and his staff are friendly and accommodating . If we ever find our way here again we would stay again...

For Spruce Lake RV Park: Be careful. I had to cancel our reservations because of coronavirus. They will not refund any of our deposit. I can apply it to next year, but they still keep $50. Being from Florida, I’m not sure if I will be in Colorado next year.

For Spruce Lake RV Park: This park is great! The facilities were well kept and the property was nice. We did laundry during our stay and the machines were maintained and worked well. There was a mix-up with our reservation but staff was helpful and courteous. I would definitely recommend staying here.

For Spruce Lake RV Park: Expensive. I couldn’t believe how many RV’s the fit into the space. We did stay there on Labor Day, so I understand that it’s crowded, I just didn’t expect to see that many people. They have a small pool and hot tub, which is nice. However for that many people don’t plan on being able to use it. Staff was very friendly. The Big Thompson River runs right next to it which is nice. You can walk up the road to a liquor store which is nice also. Besides that you’re pretty isolated. There aren’t any trails to walk to or anything like that that I am aware of.

For Spruce Lake RV Park: Overnight stay after traveling. The best thing about this park is the nice neighbors (Mark and Kelli) we met from Denver. It has a small dog area and a little stream that you can walk to-other than that the site was just OK. Pretty expensive $74 per nite. Would not go back here again. Although was thankful to find a place to rest on a Friday night w/o a reservation. Praise God.

For Spruce Lake RV Park: Two words can describe this campground. EXPENSIVE and TIGHT!!! If you stay here, you have to accept the fact that you are literally at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and you’re going to pay a “convenience fee” for that privilege. If this place was, say, in the middle of Iowa, it wouldn’t be able to get more than $30 a night maximum. That’s the EXPENSIVE part. The TIGHT part is that this is well into the top three campgrounds for me that I’ve ever stayed in for closeness of campers. You have to do a considerable amount of expert camper backing to get your camper into these sites. They are staggered back to back meaning your rear neighbors camper is almost touching the back of yours. It’s mostly dusty grass so bring a large mat for the front of your common area. There is a nice natural stream that runs through the back of the campground and you can fish it but you need a license (which I completely understand) but they also have a pond on the campground and they charge an EXTRA FEE to fish that??? I’ve NEVER seen this at any other campground. Bottom line, if you plan on visiting RMNP, do your homework and try and stay somewhere less expensive and more accommodating. I’d avoid this place if I were to do it again.
