For Winding River Resort: Very nice and family friendly campground right at the Rocky Mtn Park entrance with lots to see and do. $50 an hour for horseback ride and $15 for a hayride but other things are free like: petting zoo, playground, etc. Our kids really enjoyed petting zoo and we also spotted a bull moose feeding right on the river behind the zoo. Very cool! A good place for the price and with the GS discount.

For Winding River Resort: Quiet yet family friendly. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Some of the sites are tight, but not all...take a look around before you purchase a spot.
