For KOA Journey Gunnison: This KOA is well run and maintained by a conscientious and friendly staff. Some aspects of the operation are in transition obviously, to what are hopefully better days. We would stay here again. The location to town is great; lots to do and see. However, you should think hard about the airport traffic right behind the campground. A previous reviewer mentions it but you’d be wise to think about what that means—not just noise, but your rig vibrates with every helicopter that lands, takes off, and flies overhead.

Colofornia Refugees
For KOA Journey Gunnison: One of my favorite KOA’s. Close to town. Close to the Gunnison River. Short drive to Blue Mesa Reservoir. They have donkeys, goats and other critters wondering about. Friendly 400# hog has taken possession of the play ground. The fishing/ paddle boat pond needs work. I’ll return next time I’m in Gunnison.

For KOA Journey Gunnison: Our visit is in summer. The space is grass/dirt. We are in a back in space. It is plenty wide and we have a lovely view of a meadow. It is at the end of a small airport that only flys small commuter jets and not during the night. I was wary of being this close to the airport, but it wasn’t overly noisy. The park is lovely and well laid out. We would stay here again.

For KOA Journey Gunnison: The staff are very friendly and helpfully. But it's Muddy Muddy Muddy when it rains! Very poor drainage! The owners should invest in adding more gravel to pads. My back jacks are under water and so is the water and electric line. WIFi is very slow and sometimes you can't even connect. It's across the street from the airport,. Wouldn't stay here again.

For KOA Journey Gunnison: Big park, great wifi, easy pull throughs, friendly staff, kind of KOA expensive. Excellent for overnight. Would stay again
