For Mesa Verde RV Resort: This RV park is very convenient to Mesa Verde National Park, and we recommend it to RV'er's visiting the park. The campground in the national park is quite an upward haul from the entrance. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful. Restrooms are clean and large. It is very pet friendly--good places to walk the dog, plus readily available info for dog walking service, dog day care, or boarding, which is really a plus in hot weather as you won't want to leave your dog in the car while touring the park. There is an outside pool plus two hot tubs that were all getting use. They also have an outdoor picnic area with gas grills that guests can use--and we did! Two negatives: highway noise is loud enough that it's not pleasant to sit outside and disturbed our sleep. Plus all the roads and RV spots within the resort are covered with large-size gravel which is both noisy and uncomfortable for walking, especially for the dog, Owners have worked hard to provide level spots for RV's, but we struggled with leveling because of the gravel. If you decide to stay, try to reserve a spot with grass and trees.
