Xgarys

For Meadows Campground: It’s a very well cared for USFS primitive campground. There are fire rings, tables, pit toilets, and a trash dumpster. Many of the sites are suitable for small to medium size RVs. We were in a 24’ motorhome towing a Wrangler so about 42’ long and we found one of the few pull throughs. We stayed mid week in early September and there were only about six or eight other campers. Two of our neighbors ran open frame generators most of the day but they weren’t too obnoxious because the campsites were fairly well separated

The Catlins

For Meadows Campground: We initially paid for two nights but after enjoying the campground and all Steamboat had to offer we extended our stay two additional nights. The campground is primitive but the views, the temperatures, the peacefulness, the simplicity, and the camphost Bob make this campground a real jewel. If you camp here fill with water and bring a generator if in a camper. We have a 40’ fifth wheel. We will return hopefully sooner rather than later!

Chela

For Meadows Campground: Beautiful campground, well maintained. We have a 30' class A with two slides, and were able to find a nice level spot. We toured the campground, many spots are better for tent or smaller RV's, but we saw at least eight or nine sites we could have gotten into just fine. Though close to US 40, very quiet at night. The price is right!

Skip42

For Meadows Campground: Sites are nice in layout but not real level. Road is narrow in spots and trees hang so I probably would not do a big rig here.
