For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Stayed here 2 nights in June with no reservation. We had a nice space for a Class B with shade, water & electric on the Yampa River. Showers were fine. Pool was very cool, but we enjoyed it. No mosquitoes like we had at a couple area state parks the same week. Free City bus stop on property makes going anywhere in town simple.

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Not the most pleasant KOA I've stayed in. We were put in an overflow site with only water / electric, right along the busy highway. The ground was hard as a rock and the grass at our site had a big burn spot that you had to track through. The water was off in the morning and only until the park cleared out a bit did it start working again.

One bonus - the bus stop for the great, free regional transit system has a stop right in the resort.

Upon checkout, the dump station was the most disgusting I have even seen. Standing "blue water" with sewage was in a huge puddle around the drains so there was no way to avoid standing in it to dump your tanks. The water hose did not work at first so there as no way to rinse, clean up, etc. I finally got it to work on about the third try but it was a trickle. Wondering if it was part of the same problem that affected the water (or lack thereof) at the site.

Ellen

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: This place was unpleasant. In every way!
I was lied to on the phone regarding our 3 night booking which I didn't book. I was treated poorly when calmly asking about it at check in. The gentleman with whom I spoke on the phone told me he would take the 3rd night off, no problem, when I got there. Wrong. And apparently I made a grand mistake by asking about it at the desk. Response from the employee was snarky and rude.
The RV sites aren't spaced in a way to provide any privacy. The pictures on the website are deceiving. Beware- most RV sites don't look at all like the photos.
All in all it was just unpleasant. The folks next to us were nice. If they hadn't been- I would have driven away.

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Very pretty spot but overpriced. Watch out for summer rate being charged for off season in October!

Muffin

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: High priced for amenities. Not all spots are level. Can be muddy in rain. Restrooms are not always cleaned.
