For Magnolia County Park: Staff very friendly the only real positive I can give. Dump station is not level thus causing waste to go to back tank and actually caused it to fill. Not really big rig friendly. We are in site 14 and I had to use surrounding ground to back (45’ fifth wheel) to back into my site. Upon departure I was not able to make a left turn to gain access to the road leavening the park. I made a right and had to back out. If they would work on the dump station and access roads my rating would go up. Sorry to say we will not return without these improvements

For Magnolia County Park: I would like to give this campground 5 stars for the following - nice staff, well shaded fairly private campsites, can’t beat the price, clean and with a nice park to walk around and enjoy birds including the resident peacocks. The trail along lake Apopka was closed due to construction but that would be an added benefit. But because of the following issues, I give it 3 stars - dump station is on wrong side making the entrance into it very difficult for a fifth wheel/trailer > 34 ft to get in without having to go into a deep fall off (which could easily be filled with gravel) or drive over the grass. Likewise, getting around the campground and avoiding deep fall offs, vehicles and trees is not easy. Road noise is to be expected given the location, but it wasn’t all that bad. For large rigs, #3 & 4 were easy backins, many of the others would be too challenging for most.

For Magnolia County Park: We love staying in state parks and local city and county parks instead of rv resorts bc of our love for nature, animals and privacy. However, the overgrown foliage prevents air flow and evaporation and sunlight. The excess water causes the campground to be a breeding ground for insects and the lack of sunlight and frequent usage prevents the grass from growing. You can’t keep the bugs and dirt at bay! If you have a dog - expect to wash its paws every time you go out. The staff is wonderful! But it is apparent they need more - they go from task to task stopping periodically to check if someone is waiting for them at the office. The Campground Host is underworked and should take on more responsibility for removing downed branches, clearing brush and cleaning the road. The sites require additional leveling devices both L to R and F to R despite being asphalt. Power is at 117v and 60 Hz and water pressure is good. Cell coverage is (Verizon) 2 bars. Large trees and a winding single-lane road require your diligence to avoid hitting “things.” If it’s windy above the trees, your rig will be struck by falling leaves, branches, palm fronds, Spanish Moss and yes, site 2 had a snake fall from a tree! We haven’t seen any snakes but we’re not sticking around to look.

For Magnolia County Park: A rare five star rating I give this park. It’s a steal! Verizon 2-3 LTE bars. Satellite reception may be a challenge due to the large trees providing shade at most sites. Shh, please don’t tell anyone else about this place, okay?

For Magnolia County Park: Stayed 1 night in the way to Disney Fort Wilderness. Quiet and looks fun but didn’t have time to check everything out. Kids loved the roaming peacocks.
