For Tropic Isle Travel Resort: I made a reservation in November for the month of March. When I arrived I was given a site that was next to someone who was trying to remodel their little house. I was given a paper with different options and the one I really wanted, I was told someone was coming in so I took the one next door. No one ever showed up till 3 weeks later and stayed for 2 nights. The bathhouse is disgusting For 2 and a half weeks the middle shower leaked hot water and it was rusty at that. Not once did they clean the bathrooms or showers. I won't be returning. The cell is bad so we bought the month package of Wi-Fi for $40. We left a couple days early and I'm glad.

For Tropic Isle Travel Resort: This place is awful. Most of the year round residents trailers are dumps. This is why they don’t have pictures on there website. I don’t think they know what a power washer is. The trailers are green and junk around the sites. Hillbilly heaven. So bad I can’t even rate it but I have too. Lost our 400.00 deposit. We canceled a month in a half before we were supposed to arrive. Thank God we checked it out before we checked in.

floyd

For Tropic Isle Travel Resort: I stayed in a truck camper for two months. Resort has a boat ramp for small boats and has a small pond on the back side. You can paddle to the pine island sound through narrow channels distance about 1.5 miles. Park is showing its age. Small pool and hot tub well maintained. Club house with exercise room with a few machines. I paid about $1000 per month(Feb. and March) for small site in the back next to pond. Wi-Fi was bad at my site but apparently ok at others. Manager has been there for a long time and very cooperative. Mainland has most of the activities mainly great paddling community with lots of trips. Unfortunately, one must go through the traffic jam of Matlaycha every time to get off the island. Residents are friendly with most seasonal or permanent residents with own trailers.

Ain't Life Grand

For Tropic Isle Travel Resort: Such a wonderful place. Quiet, clean, super friendly people, and a great pool and hot tub. There are many permanent residents, and spaces are a bit close together. All hook- ups, and the site was fairly level. Pine Island is an example of the "old Florida". We traveled in a travel trailer and would consider returning. 2gk
