Nancy

For John Prince Park Campground: We really liked this county park. Convenient to I95. Lakeside sites are beautiful (not #111-your front door is next to neighbors sewer. All other sites are spacious and not a problem). Lots of clean bathrooms and convenient garbage. . Incredible playground for the kids. Fishing from the pier. Fun to watch the boats and jet skis go by. Really friendly and helpful staff. Book early. Hard to get availability because county residents can stay 150+ days! Very well maintained.

Mark

For John Prince Park Campground: This is a great park! Some really fantastic sites right on the lake. Many are very spacious. They have a good shower houses a playground for kids a couple of different pavilions as well. The park is well off the road next to an airport which really is not a big deal. It offers security and privacy. also, being on the lake offered security as well. It is well cared for clean, tidy, and the staff is pretty friendly as well. We stay here every year when visiting family and friends in the area.

For John Prince Park Campground: Great campground. Short term (less than 2 wks) sites are all along the water great to watch all the birds and boaters. Very quiet even this next to the airport (sm planes). Great laundry credit card only but very clean. Huge community park so lots of trails to bike or walk. We did see a gator and lots of iguanas at one end of the campground. We had an Egyptian goose nest right at our site. We’re hoping eggs would hatch but they didn’t. Beautiful bird. Looks like goose but very colorful. Close to beaches and plenty of stores. Bernie’s on the beach great restaurant right in the beach

Janine

For John Prince Park Campground: LOVE this place. The campground is actually quite large but if you are staying for a short time, odds are you will be near the water and you won’t see most of the RVs. They have quite strict rules so it is a wonderfully quiet and terrific place to stay, despite the large numbers of long term tenants. No bright lights at night. No loud music. No “living rooms” set up outside. The short term sites are by the water. Most are sloped but the location makes up for this inconvenience. The park is centrally located. It is also near a marshy area with many different birds. Watch your pets though as there are large iguanas and I was told a gator was roaming nearby. Also, due to Covid, they don’t take cash in the office so if you want to purchase ice or buy laundry tokens, you need a CC.

Halfloaf

For John Prince Park Campground: Have stayed here each year since I last left a review. Remains a beautiful park with a lot of wildlife and nature to see. Unfortunately some of the wildlife is the growing invasive iguana population. The ones in the park are still very afraid of humans and scatter when you go outside. A confederate flag was flown. The park is affordable for the region and another thing I enjoy is that area restaurants and grocery stores are much more inexpensive than they would be just 20 miles south.

Dick

For John Prince Park Campground: This camp ground is exceptional. It is part of a very large county park with golf, tennis, volleyball, boating, paved paths, pavilion with exercise machines, exercise trail, dog runs, etc. If you have bikes there are convoluted miles to cover around the lake.

The campground has seen several expansions over the years. The original lakeside front part is now mostly tents and small units. Spacing is a bit tight; some are level; 30 amp and water; 14 day max.

Later development on the south end and lakeside has longer and wider 50 amp/sewer sites for larger rigs. There are a dozen pull-through sites in the back by the airport.

The major part of the sites away from the lake are part of the final expansion and are very typical in size and spacing.

Levelness can be an issue for motor homes. Look at sites before deciding. Do not expect good WiFi. Electric is very good. Water pressure regulators are standard. The office accepts package deliveries for long term campers. Expect private airplane activity during the day and week ends.
