Lee B

For Curry Hammock State Park: One of the best state campgrounds we’ve seen. Well separated sites, good level parking, nice bath house if you need one, friendly staff. Easy walking distance to a swimming beach and excellent paddling all around. Our favorite Keys campground.

Donald Chamberlain

For Curry Hammock State Park: We lucked out to be able to get a site for two nights and hoped someone would cancel so we could get a third night. This is a small campground on the ocean and our site while not directly waterfront still had a view of the water. Next to the campground is a small but nice day area with a better beach. The site was level and raked gravel. The facility was extremely clean and the rest room was pristine. I used the showers both mornings before the daily cleaning and they were still pristine. E were there in a 31’ class c motorhome on March 28, 29, 2019

Wandering Sandals

For Curry Hammock State Park: Like all campgrounds along the Florida Keys, the $46/day including taxes is pretty much the norm here. The only different is Curry Hammock SP Campground surrounded by water and iguanas. Campsites are graveled, leveled, and very clean. Thanks to tentative camp hostess! The electric/water pedestal at campsite are convenient and dump station is near the exit. Two gates are required code to enter, kind of overkilled if you ask us. Bathroom is centralized, modern and very clean. The campground is small but the sites are wonderfully spacious. Access to ocean will require you to wade through bunch of dead sea grass before a cool dip. We suppose a single sandboni machine can clean up debris, so campers can at least enjoy the 100ft long beach near picnic area? Kayaking access is very good, although there is conflicting rule about dog is allowed on kayak and but prohibit carry a dog across the 5ft beach to your kayak! WiFi is none existence, LTE is slightly weak. We have booties on our dog to combat sand burrs due to other reviews, but thorny ball of weeds are everywhere; campsite, picnic area, roadsides, and trails, etc. May come back if there are no other option.

Ninie

For Curry Hammock State Park: Site 16 was nice, a big iguana greeted us upon arrival and the ocean was visible from our RV. Access to the beach was easy but the beach is not beautiful. Lots and lots of seaweed prohibited us from swimming. Big crabs have holes all around but they didn't bother us although the ranger that checked us in told us not to leave our flip flops outside because the crabs may steal them!! The permanent bathrooms are under construction and not operational so there are portables which are not bad. If the beach was clean, it would definitely be a 5 star park. Doubt we will return.

SheGabs

For Curry Hammock State Park: Reserved 4 nights here, left after the first night. Cannot see beach from any of the "ocean front" sites, too overgrown. Cannot access the beach from sites, must go around to beach access. We were in #23. No shade at all in most of the sites. Cannot get into the water at all, too much seaweed and muck too far out. Shrubs and trees overgrown and not trimmed, seems unkept. We camped all along the coast for several weeks this was the only campground that was not excellent.

Californiabarbi

For Curry Hammock State Park: Right on a nice beach, clean swept spaces, nice people but hated the sand stickers that were all over the grass areas. Our small dog picked up dozens and they landed in the RV. We stepped on them- ouch. We had to make him do his business on gravel. Next were all the bites we got from the tiny 'no see-ems' everywhere we walked and in our camp space. We left after one day. Florida State parks are great overall but there are better than this one.
