For Taylor Creek Lodge: Shannon was very helpful with directions and accommodating regarding our delayed arrival .( we had 2 Blow outs) in route. Friendly quite and clean location.

For Taylor Creek Lodge: We spent 10 nights with W/S/E-50 Amp in a 38 Ft. Class A Motorhome. Entrance to the park is convenient just off of US Route 441. This park is still recovering from Hurricane Irma. Its interior paved roads have some pot holes and bumps. The office is located past a one-way street that leads to the majority of sites. You’ll drive past this street when going toward the office for check-in which may have you backing up to get to your site. It can be confusing as where to park for registration and unhooking your tow. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a grassy waterfront site along Taylor Creek with a concrete sidewalk, patio and wooden picnic table. The park’s free Wi-Fi was intermittent but our AT&T cell phone reception was very good. We had no problem using our Dish Tailgater for TV programs and received a few channels via antennae. We didn’t find very many attractions in the local area and some were closed due to it being off-season (summer). Historic Okeechobee Battlefield is a mile from the campground. We took a 125 mile drive (3 1/2/ hours) around Lake Okeechobee and a 40 mile drive to Lake Placid visiting the American Clown Museum & School, Sugar Sand Distillery and Henscratch Farms Winery. This is a nice area to visit and the campground price was reasonable but if you don’t boat or fish, we feel that 7 days would be plenty of time.
